My MP Megs fell off of my entertainment center once, and came out fine, just popped off his hip panels and an arm panel. My 20th anniversary Optimus fell from a height that was about the same, and his leg broke off.

Megs' fragility is way overstated.

I love MP Megs. Not only is he way more cartoonaccurate than the regular G1 toy, he's also enormously great for pictures. The variety of poses you can use are absolutely great.

A true masterpiece

MP shockwave?? WHY?? If there's one 100% cartoon accurate Transformer, it's Shockwave. He's even the correct size if you place him next to the other MPs. Whatever can Takara build that's better than the Toyco one?

I agree. The only thing that an MP Shockwave could possibly bring is more articulation and a bit more detail here and there. Otherwise, it's one of the few G1 Transformers that is already close to MP-scale as it is.

EDIT: On second viewing, G1 Shockwave is definitly in scale with the MP Seekers (and the BT/Alt series is in scale with them as well). However, MP Prime and MP Megs are a bit too big in comparison, IMO. If there were an inch and a half shorter, they'd be perfect (or, if everything else was an inch and a half taller, lol).

I just don't see anything good about this other than someone saying they got an MP version of Megatron. I just don't understand... Anyone else think he's not worth the money AT ALL!!!

I might pay $30 or $20 for that figure.
cause hes geewun dood

honestly, i loathe this guy, worst $80 i ever spent, Transformed him once felt like I was gonna break him and put him in storage

MP Megs + teh cool. He is the only TF that I use the instructions for, but that's because of the breakage potential + the money I paid for him = I want to be sure I don't break him. I've only transformed mine 4 times so far, but the last time I transformed him I know that if I transformed him a bit more I'd be fine. I'll probably lock this in once I go through and clorostop him ^_^.

Is this figure (not a "toy", like many TFs imo) without his cons? Of course not. Does that make him any less cool? No WAY. I'm very thankful for mine, and I have to say that if one gets this figure, they have to get the add on set:

(US quarter used for size comparison)

( . . . and a lesser quality photo of mine in robot mode)

Thanks man! I'd like to take more photos of MP-5 and more of my things (non-customs). I still remember how happy I was to be able to get one (MPs aren't cheap!), and figures like this I just want to take extra steps to take care of it (and the rest of my TFs).

The only thing I don't like about the MP Megs fiog, is teh lack of lateral bicep swivel and the rust. I can't even touch mine because of the rust.

Yeah mine's feet had a bit of the cosmic rust right out of the box and it has gotten WAY worse since. His feet now look totally overrun by space barnacles.

I can see people's points both against and for MP05. He definitely is fragile and has design execution flaws (i.e. transforming him is hell on earth). He looks cool and poses great though.
