"Classics" Hasbro VS Takara Picture Comparisons

Bang up job man, this thread is win

I've said this in all the other threads but Dirge is pure win for me. I love the remolded wings which are based on the G1 toy and I think the odd deco pattern on his wings works though I still wish they refrained from it. The only thing I really wish they changed was using Ramjet's missile launchers instead, that for me would have made this toy absolutely perfect.

Thrust is a mixed bag though, I like it overall but just a lot of little things really annoy me, especially having him side by side with Botcon Thrust like that. I really don't like the gray wings....that and the paint they used on his face just sticks out something bad. I've said I will probably let him go but I just dont know, might be something I will sleep on and just have to see when TFCon rolls around in a couple of weeks.

One thing I will say is Botcon deserves some major props for their job on the coneheads. I've come down really hard on TFCC and Hasbro's job on the Classics toys but their work on that 07 set is to be commended as looking at those comparisons I have to say it's the only instance were I think they look better then the Henkei versions. The only thing I like more is Henkei Dirge with the remolded wings, other than that the Botcon set really outshines the Henkei which is a raritly considering how dissapointing Universe has been.

You did an EXCELLENT job with this. Overall I say Henkei wins but there are some in which Hasbro wins too as well as a few in which the difference is almost nothing. Biggest difference for me is still Astrotrain. I am very glad I got Henkei for him.

Hasbro wins because of it's target demographic.

As does Takara. Two completely different age groups are targeted, but Hasbro still does a nice job.

i know how much work it is taking all these pictures: taking figs out, transforming, posing, wtc.. all under some hot-ass lamps, really appreciate it man

I noticed on the photos that Henkei has more chrome on their figures than the Classics. Last month I ordered Encore Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp. Somebody told me the Encore is decent, but Henkei is better.

Botcon Thrust is looking better than Henkei Thrust. I like henkei Dirge's wing sculpt, but Botcon Dirge has a better paint scheme.

Encore=G1 molds, very little articulation etc
Henkei=Universe/Classics molds

Man most id like to switch some parts to have the perfect bland off Henkei/universe. I think that would be the best combos.
