well i wasnt ken on the animated figures, i collect classics type figures so hadnt bothered with animated as they wouldnt fit with my collection. i caved and bought 3 annimated figures ratchet, jazz and soundwave. i love them thought. ratchet is ok, but soundwave and jazz are pure win. im gonna buy snarl and swoop too coz they look great too!
i WAS just going to buy the ones i really like but now the completist in me is scream gotta catch em all.....god damn it. snarl looks fab and i know ill be buying swindle for sure and the dinobots although i not sure on grimlock. dunno why he looks cool and stuff but theres just summat i cant get away with!
Buy Grimlock. It's by far the best Animated toy. Voyager Bulkhead is fun too. The only two I'd recommend you stay away from (IMO) is Lockdown and Starscream.
I'd go for SS, though. He's really fun and looks great if not mind-blowingly accurate like the others. I would maybe wait on Lockdown. He's badass on the show but his fig is forgettable. Voyager Lugnut and Bulkhead are awesome.
I'd get Leader Megs,Blakcarchinda and Battle Begins optimus Prime. Activators Bumblebee is also cool. very G1ish transformations and robot mode.
Now you need to save up more money for greatness like Leader Megatron, Ultra Magnus & Bulkhead. Also, don't forget the forthcoming heavy hitters like Shockwave, Swindle, etc..
im not to keen on shockwave, well actually more on the fence with it really. i plan to get swindle for defo he is a beaut and i want the battle begins set for prime and megs but the (almost pencil looking) battle damage puts me off. ive never like the starscream figure for some reason. i have shelled out about £200 on classic style transformer figs this week (inc henkei wildrider), i cant beleive ive started to fal for the animated figures now! i almost see my bank balance dropping fast!
Skip the 2-pack. The only thing decent about it is that Megatron is better than the Voyager and Prime has a cool axe, but other than that it kinda sucks.
yeah i probably will skip the two pack mainly as there are other figs more worthy of my cash. i think i might pop to argos later and try to pic up snarl
snarl is pretty great, swoop is awesome, and grimlock the best! i also really love cybertron prime, lockdown, and screamer too. well, to be honest. i love them all. i think the toys are just awesome! glad you caved and joined in the fun! what like this?:
