My wife ordered Universe Unicron for me at toysrus.com last night. I was thinking about getting some minicons to go with it. What do you think? Are there any minicons that are really cool "must-haves"?

    Thanks for posting!!

I know the one that came with Bendy prime is a good one.

Personally, I really like Liftor (the one that came with Smokescreen). Other than him, I'd get the minicons that make up the sword, the sheild, and the blaster.

Wind Sheer was always my favorite. Great little stealth bomber alt mode and a well-proportioned bot mode with decent articulation. Great colors, too.

What is the sword, shield, and blaster? I feel like an idiot but, I totally skipped the Armada and Energon series' so I know NOTHING about minicons. If it's not any trouble could I ask some of you to post pics of the coolest minicons?

Either have none or be prepared to catch them all. :D

That's not all of them...but I got tired of putting them out...

Look up variants of weapons minicons, they're the best. both combiners, and triplechanger (targetmaster) minicons. a lot of playability value for the buck.

See but then i also like the ones that turn into little cars... and it just goes from there. I'm a Mini-con nut...

BTW, speaking of Must Haves, my white whale are the Blizzard Saber Minicons, if anyone has a set, please PM me! :)

Big Phill, i know you have em, and you're not lettting them go. that's cool :)

Must get? Yeah, Dragoyell, because that's the one I don't have. :lol
Good advice. These three teams are a great picture of what the minicons are and can do.

I think BBTS might have had some of the Micron Booster sets on sale recently as well.

The sword, shield and blaster mini con sets are a good start. I'd also recommend the tripple changing minicon teams as well as Perceptor (Energon version).

Personally I'd avoid the ones that have the gear gimmick to attach to Armada Cyclonus.

My favourites are just the ones that have decent articulation. If they have some other cool gimmick that doesn't detract from that, so much the better.
Favourites include Jolt (Hot Shot's partner), Liftor (Smokescreen's partner) the Land Military Team (especially Knockout), and by extension the Night Attack Team, Terradive (Air Military Team), Stormcloud and Waterlog (Sea Team).

My two favorite Minicons are Backtrack (green car from the street racing team) and Terradive (SR-71-ish jet from the air military team). They're both truly excellent, except that it's kinda easy to pull Backtracks arms off while transforming him.
