Does anyone know if there is any chrome on Henkei Onslaught, Silverbolt or Powerglide? From the pics I've seen, I can't find chrome anywhere, and I just can't see Takara not putting any on.

So far no word, from the looks of it I would say no though.

There USA editions. Which means Takara is coping the Hasbro deco. Accept in Powerglides case where they flipped the red and white.

Actually all three toys have completely different paints then their Hasbro counterparts.

That's true, it just means Takara can't be bothered with new packaging.

they appear to have more of a glossier coat of paint then the hasbro ones, and are much shinier too.

at least from the pictures posted online so far.

with the exception of powerglide, they are mostly just darker/lighter to look more "g1ish"

but from the pictures as far as i can tell, no chrome.

No they don't. I've looked at many of the pics. They have the same scheme. Just the actual colours used are different. Henkei and Universe Onslaught are blue and gold in the exact same places (and both have Monzo on the front). But the shades of blue are different. Universe is a matted grey blue. Henkei is a richer navy blue. There is a thread where side by side pics are shown. Henkei Silverbolt uses a very bright white, while Universe Silverbolt uses a greyish-white colour. But they are both white in the same places and red/black/gold in the same places. Powerglide is the biggest diversion. But even he has the same paint apps as the Universe version. Just white paint on red plastic.

    Ebay:
I believe what Soundwave.ca is saying is that unlike previous "USA Editions" which were EXACTLY the same as the US toy (just with a Japanese sticker slapped on the package), the upcoming Ultras do in fact have different paint apps than their domestic counterparts.

Judging by how we typically use the words in the fandom, I think it would be safe to say that most people see the Henkei guys as having quite different paint schemes/apps/colors than their Universe counterparts.

It doesn't look like Henkei Silverbolt will get his distinctive gold chrome thighs then.
