When you say kibble do you mean partsformer? If partsformer then forget it. This isn’t 1985. It’s frikken 2008 (or 2009 when the movie 2 comes out) so they better figure a way to have all 7 combine without extra parts. With 7 figures to work with it should be doable. If kibble meaning just vehicle parts hanging off the body then I’m fine with that.

"Kibble" as you call it can completely ruin a gestalt for me.

For example, one user on here, (rumble_frenzy ,I think) makes incredible, expensive combiners, that simply look...beautiful.
However, from what I've seen in pictures, most of the combined bot's body goes nowhere ,does nothing and isn't integrated into the individual figures.

This is not only impractical, it's bad engineering.
At least the energon combiners hands & feet turned into weapons.

If it's easy to balance and be able to shelf easily i don't care.

Agreed. Customs I can understand as a customizer doesn't have a team of engineers to figure things out. But Takara/Hasbro does, so extra parts needed to form a bigger bot like it's 1985 is a huge engineering disappointment.

if they were 7 deluxe sized figures it would completely rock, a gesalt that would have a little scale to the other figs in the line, and could help accomodate some of the kibble

    Ebay:
The movie aesthetic of "a billion different pieces switching around" is hard enough as it is to capture in plastic. Hell, Barricade and Bonecrusher failed miserably at movie accuracy and they only had two modes.

    I know it's 2008 and all....

...but expecting this design to transform from bot to truck with any semblance of accuracy and THEN do some additional origami into a fully formed arm/leg/torso or whathaveyou may end up pushing the toy into being the same type of "fails at everything" garbage we got with "powalynx" Energon figures.

I understand the general anti-kibble sentiment, but in the end, I'd rather clip on a head and some fists than have a bunch of figures that look like crap in every mode because they were forced to juggle too many balls in the air.
