I was up for it, but now reading this thread I might actually want the Encore version more instead. CHOICES!
the encore version is shit. mine is winking at me, due to bad paint apps. he has gouges in his arms where the parts were taken off molds. the back panels of his truck cab (on his arms) don't close up all the way in truck mode. there's excess metal on the front of the cab that destroyed one of his arm stickers when I transformed him for the first time. these are reasons to get the 25th anniversary version. there is no reason I would reccomend the encore version to anyone. it is terrible, just like all of encore wave 1.
Having a rare perfect encore Prime, coupled with the fact that the Canadian version won't have the DVD. Means I have zero interest in 25th Prime.
I plan on getting the 25th prime, but my question is that, are they gonna reissue any other g1 figures for the 25th line? -rikkuluverx2
Thanks for all the responses. To me the real purchase is for the actual toy not all the added 'stuff'. The comic you can download and print out from the internet. Didn't hear about a voice box thingy but getting sound clips online is easy as well. And purchasing the Encore version IS easy...it's around $50 whereever you look. I think the higher stacks on the Encore might sell me unless as stated earlier, the Encore version is poorly constructed.
Thank you. Also, add the voice box to my list, and "the fact it'll be much easier for me to get" about another 50 times. QFT!!! While that makes it cheaper, it does NOT make it any easier to get ahold of.
It may not seem easier to you and a lot of other people, but for myself, it's easier to go out to Target and buy it in person. Not only that but it's a LOT more satisfying than buying something online. I go out at least once every two weeks, so I might as well do my TF shopping while out too. I personally see no reason to purchase something onlilne, though I have bought a couple of things from board members, which is a different situation to me.
I'm getting the encore release, it's cheaper, and all of the extras on the 25th ann. release are not worth 20 dollars, they are only there to increase the price in an injustified way. Plus, It will be much easier for me to get the Encore release.
