Okay, so we all know about Hound coming with a G1-sized Ravage cassette tape and all. Pretty exciting. I know I've got a semi.

But let's say, hypothetically, the powers that be were considering releasing more cassette-bots... We have a current stable of predictable old characters that could be trotted out and rehashed: tapes that turn into 2 robots/6 dinosaurs/2 birds/1 gorilla/1 tank/1 jet/1 bat/2 cats ...but existing molds aside, there's surely room for some creativity here...

If you could see a NEW cassette-bot that turns into X, what would its alt form be?

 

I want an official Hasbro made Botch the Crab.

 

With redecos of Beastbox and Laserbeak as Bungle and Fuck-up, too.

 

A new Rumble and Frenzy figures.

I would totally want Rumble and Frenzy, just to have the fandom go "FIBRIR/RIBFIR!"

Imagine all the chaos about show accuracy v.s g1 accuracy.

I'd be reasonably satisfied as long as Hound gets a remold (possibly as Swindle, possibly someone else) and gets a different cassette (Laserbeak, Rumble, Botch, whoever. I'm happy with anyone who won't need little chrome add-ons to look good) out of the bargain.

 

No need. If you believe Rumble is red, you're already dead inside.

Maybe Hasbro would release them in their toy colours, and Takara would do them the other way round (with chrome groins or armpits or something) for cartoon accuracy.

Serious, It could be a complete line of its own! Im SOOO not into legends or robot heroes and would much rather one or the other be replaced (or at least suplimented) by a line of G1 cassettes!!! Anyone with me?

 

Personally I'd be fine with just the following:

-Laserbeak- black and red new mold like Ravage
-Buzzsaw- repaint of Laserbeak with gold instead of red
-Rumble- new mold (blue)
-Frenzy- red repaint of Rumble

A new mold Soundwave and a new mold Blaster with some of his own cassette-bots would be nice, or at the very least just Soundwave.

Edit: A cassette-bot that looks more like a piece of toast in alt-mode would be a nice companion to Jamjet  

 

 

Though, that IS something we haven't seen...Tapes that turn into Sea creatures... (or at least, somewhat amphibious ones) A Crab... a Shark...maybe an Octopus sort of deal...

I kinda thought it would be neat if some of the tapes were Accessory packs... like if one of them unfolded into extra guns, like a rifle or a pair of pistols, sized for the 5mm post holes...or if one of them turned into a jetpack or something, for any other cassette with equally spaced holes on their back...

 

How about a cassette that turned into a car or car-like drone. I also like ShadowStich's idea about cassettes that turn into weapons or accessories.

 

How about like a cassette gestalt? And I don't mean on a small scale like Squawkbox and Slamdance. I mean like maybe 12 little cassettes that turn into, I dunno, various vehicles or robots who all combine into a Devastator sized Cassetticon?

 

YES AND THEY NEED TO COME IN A 2-PACK sry caps heehee well the two pack shouldnt point out which is which two homages in 1 brilliant muahahahahaha.

 

A damn good idea that would have made Blaster and Soundwave even more fun. If they went the way of some Mini-cons, have them turn into some bot/animal/vehicle and a weapon.

Just imagine something like a Ravage Blaster or A buzzsaw sword.

 

Well "Real Gear" which was just a big Microchange homage/revisit anyway, seemed to do pretty well for Hasbro the first time.

So since they've already got some branding already worked out, if they did splurge on a Guardian (be it 'Wave or Blaster) then it might actually be concievable to actually have a year or so's worth of new cassette molds.

Im glad that they are making Ravage. I would like to see a god mold of Rumble/Frenzy. More articulation.

 

I still have a preference to the birds Buzzsaw/Laserbeak and Rumble/Frenzy so I wouldn't mind getting them in new molds.
