Parted with this guy years ago, been kinda regerting it ever since, so I swung on getting him again, and lemme tell ya -- he's a home run.

Minimal kibble that's handled well, poses like a champ, waist rotation (giving him 1 up on the previous deluxe optimus of that time), and it looks like he's even forwards compatible with most modulators and weaponizers. But the real kicker?

He. Don't. Need. No. Trailer. Now I haven't played the games, so I can't say for certain that he doesn't get one in the canon (can someone confirm this for me, please?) But I cannot stress enough how much this kind of alt mode means to me.

Whenever I see a cab prime with that gap in the back, regardless of whether or not there's a trailer port, it's like looking at a "complete" puzzle where every piece that makes up the middle is there in the box, but the edge pieces are left out, to be included in the premium edition puzzle being released the next year, if at all. So I tend to appreciate convoys that deviate, be they the videogame deluxes, or the titans return voyager, or even RiD15 prime, because the idea of the trailer is either omitted entirely or already built in. The Hot Rod's Bluur's and some of those ebay parts are going to sit in a box till I get my Tax Returns. Then about $400.00 of that will go to more SW for parts. So I can turn them into random back ground characters/red shirts. You know, Characters to feed to LG44 and the gnaws. Which reminds me, Order more Gnaws and two more of the sticker sheets from Toy Hax. And weapons for them from SW.

In other news, Target's going ham on their anti-reseller (anti-scalper) policies.
Right next to the Transformers was a sign saying team members are not allowed to search the back for specific items and that items can't be held for any one individual.

Do her arms pop off easily?

 

Does Shatter still have the QC issues, or are they fixed now? Either way, likely not taking her, especially because I have the way superior Jet Shatter.

 

Aside for moving them before other vehicle-to-robot steps, no they do not.
