What would you get if you were offered both options at the same price? In one hand we have Galvatron who is the decepticon leader, anime accurate, with a matrix, who has been eluding me for sometime. In the other hand we have Powerglide and Onslaught, 2 new and fresh designs for a little less than what Galvatron is costing me. What should I get in your opinion, considering Im collecting G1 reissues and Classic / Universe?
Onslaught and PG are brand new and on the shelves... if you can grab a Purprle reiss Galvy for the price of two Uni Ultras, I'd grab that deal first.
I agree with Prometheum5, since Powerglide and Onslaught are brand new you should still be able to find them for some time. Galvatron however is quite a bit more rare and you're unlikely to find him even further down the line so I'd take this opportunity now while it's presented.
If you will for sure be wanting that Galvy strike now for if you wait it will only cost more as time goes by. The Ultra wave 1 are not even in full distribution yet they will be out there for you to buy clear till new years. Get the Galvatron sooner than latter.
Galvatron all the way. He's an imposing figure full of retro goodness. And he's getting hard to find at a reasonable price. As others have said, Powerglide and Onslaught will be readily and cheaply attainable for the near future.
The purple Galvatron is pure love. I have one MISb and is seriesly thinking of another one just to open.
+1 to Galvatron If you can really get him for the same price, man, that is too good a deal to pass up, as others have stated. I was on the fence about him when he was released, because I have a vintage one, but I was able to get him at Botcon from TFSource for the original price, and I am really happy I did, he is a great fig, and he is even better in person. I don't regret getting him for a second.
I agree that purple Galvatron is a lot better in person than the photos you see. I have one and it is great figure.
