I just got my GF Guardshell in the mail the other day, he's awesome in every way but he has silver paint on his shovel thing. Now it doesn't look like it's supposed to be there and it's very scratchy paint, almost like someone used him to scrape silver off of something. Is there anyone else who has had this problem with this figure or any other figure? How do I remove this extra paint?

 

Is it the same paint that is on the Cybertron Landmine release? If so, it's supposed to be there on the scoop 'teeth' to simulate metal and paint scrapes.

 

Didn't know it's supposed to be there, looks a little tacky but I guess I'll leave it on.

It supposed to be there, and I think it looks kinda plain without it...

 

I'm gonna leave it there but there's spots that are really thick streaks so it looks like paint as opposed to scratched metal, almost like they dipped his bucket in silver paint when they applied it.

 

Yeah, that kind of paint varies, and it depends on luck...

 

Eh he's still an awesome bot though and he's a great mold. I'm using him as Classics Scoop for my Wreckers.

 

I read that as "Swoop" for a second.  

 

It's a nice touch, but it bothers me because it isn't the same on both sides. One is much lighter than the other. At least on mine.

 

If it was the same on both sides, it would look nothing like what it supposed too... So it would be defeating the purpose...

 

On Grindcore that paint is a rusty red color. I think it looks awesome.
