Best of Classics and Henki

No random chrome+less slavish geewunism+more interesting paint deco gives Classics the win for everyone.

One exception I'd make it Powerglide, just because a red plane gives more variety than a third primarily white with red detail plane.

It's tough to tell you which ones are "better" given that that's a subjective. I like mine to be pretty G1 accurate, so my personal preferences are pretty much based on that, though price is a factor in some of them.

Classics Starscream < Henkei Starscream

I would take Henkei Prowl and Sunstreaker over their Classic versions if price wasn't an object; being that it is a factor for me though, the Classic ones are fine. I'm surprised the Henkei Sunstreaker doesn't have a more accurate color scheme to his G1 version (yellow upper-legs and waist, black forearms).

Any of the Bumblebees are fine in my book...whatever one you can get for a good price would be the one to go for.

I'm just kinda planning on buying some of both. I generally like the Henkei better (with the exception of no rub symbols - which I plan to remedy). I've got a few doubles between the two, so I just have the Henkei in robot mode and the Classics in Alt mode (with the exception of Grimlock).

Sure, it kinda sucks buying the same molds over again, but at least the U.S. ones aren't as expensive.

Gotta say, Powerglide and Prowl look WAAYYY better in the Henkei line.

I've yet to see a henkei that was worth me rebuying a toy I have already, though megs and astrotrain were pretty close. Powerglide has me on the fence since i havent found him in the states yet

I've seen pics but to it comes out to $40+ to get henkei if you include the cost of shipping what I already payed for the classics version which has no resale value. It doesnt look that good. I just consider myself as having the IDW version versus the G1 version.

guess its an advantage living in singapore...i dunno why we get henkei for the same price as animated/movie/universe

^^ this. Although Henkei Megs makes me think twice sometimes, I do prefer the US colour schemes for the most part.

I'd definitely take Henkei Convoy, Megatron, Astrotrain & Hot Rod over their Classics versions. Not sure the differences are as noticeable with the newer Universe toys, tho generally I prefer the chrome.

If you display in boxes, I'd say the Henkei Voyager class figures are clearly the better option, as they're in 'bot mode.
