Why are they all zombies?

I don't think I've seen a thread about this, so I thought I would start one.

I've had the first 3 Universe toys for a couple weeks now, and I couldn't help but think "Zombies" when looking at the art on the packaging. They aren't rotting or anything, but the vacant or open mouth expressions and lack of pose is kinda off putting and is hampering otherwise very nice art. I thought it might change but seeing all the current and upcoming packaging seems to maintain this.

My only guess as to why is that they wanted them to appear more realistic and match with the movie line, so they made the faces similar to the movie line faces, which were generally expressionless thanks to having more alien designs. With the Universe faces, it just isn't working IMO.

I can't stand the artwork on the Universe 2.0 packages...they're not just zombie-like & vacant (though, that too), but they seem really fat, while the figures are nice & sleek...

I think it's just a case of really unfortunate facial expressions- which Ironhide (at least) deviates from.

Would love to see all their boxart lined up though, hehe.

Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm going to be throwing all of the packaging away. Given the way it looks, it was more than likely either what we have, or no artwork at all.

Edit: Oh, and they're not zombies, they all just took some strong pain killers before they got their pictures taken
