If Prowl got one, why not Soundwave and Shockwave?

Heck, Hasbro said they couldn't even make the Nerfatron now if they wanted.

Purple gun is weird, for shockwave. Maybe they could turn him into some sort of cannon, a different version of his alt-mode from G1. Although that might end up looking too much like Galvatron.

I suspecat alot of Galvy kitbashes in this case.

For Shockwave's alt-mode, I personally think they could get away with a purple H-tank. Just the style and color differences, and the fact that Animated Shockwave is supposedly going to be packaged as "Longarm", and thus in his crane-mode, will make it different enough to justify the similarity in alt-mode, imo. Would be interesting to see the contrast in the lines that way, and it wouldn't be too hard to get a nice Shockwave bot-mode from the alt-mode.

Edit: Just going to add my opinion about the Music Label Soundwave. I personally think it's a POFS. I'd rather Soundwave get a new mold that isn't a tape deck, had one set of hands that don't need to be pulled off at all, and a better proportioned bot-mode (something about those legs bothers me). Also, the headsculpt doesn't look good to me.

Probably because Soundwave looks alot like his old version except for the vehicle mode and the vehicle mode details.

G1 Shockwave is already almost perfect as it is. He's definitely near the top of the list as far as show/comic-accurate toy goes. I agree that Music Label Soundwave is the best we've got for a Classics Soundwave, but I think it'd be cool if Hasbro just remolded it to remove the electronics and make a cheaper, straight-up action figure version and put it in the Universe line.

How about a helicopter for shockwave?

Maybe they could make Shockwave with a 'secret' pistol-like alt-mode. I seem to recall people doing fanmodes of Energon Shockblast that were decent. And they could go heavy on the orange parts and market it as a homage to Actionmaster Shockwave while Japan gets a more classic color scheme.

That could work, and I wouldn't turn down a Shockwave that turns into a Helicopter. As for any "secret pistol modes", it's not something I ever see Hasbro doing. That and I'd rather have a Shockwave that turns into one good alt-mode rather than having a sacrificed alt-mode and an odd looking pistol-like mode that's also sacrificed. There are really only four things I can think of that are important for a Shockwave homage, imo:

1. Purple
2. One yellow eye
3. Left gun-hand
4. The shape of his chest <>

That's just plain lazy. You'd think out of most of the Decepticons, Soundwave deserves a "classics style" modern update the most. And no, ML don't count. Not in my books anyway.

Fine with me, since Galvatron himself is already a tank. Whatever works. IIRC, in the movie game, Shockwave was a triple changer who transformed into a helicopter and this huge cannon thingy.

i think a big cheesey purple gun would be perfect for Shockwave, IMHO

but with a cannon base instead of a handle-maybe with like tank treads-that way he can transform dang near the same, plus he can have better legs.

but ya, i think a cannon with a crazy huge barrel would rule.
