I for one really like Octane. But then, I also really like Classics Astrotrain, train mode and all. Octane has an even more fun transformation process, and I love how his wings completely disappear for the truck mode. The bot mode is nice too - the wings are highly maneuverable, and his has some great weaponry. I also enjoy how variable he can be in appearance, with the different ways you can position his shoulders and feet. I won't say he's better than Sunstreaker, but I'd say he's the most interesting classics Decepticon deluxe so far. Granted, that puts him on a short list, but still.

 

I agree with wishing they were both Voyagers of course pretty much all the Cons should have been Voyagers in my opinion...and Grimlock too  

 

This is my problem with the toy.

When I got him I messed with him, transformed him to all 3 modes and thought "what a shitty toy." Then I looked his G1 version and thought "well, he is about 100X better in this new incarnation.....wait, why should I have to look at the old version to make me feel better about this new one?!"

He's a crappy toy and a bad triple changer. End of story.

He looks pretty decent. Maybe if they decided to make him a Voyager, they could've done better with his alt modes. I own a beat up G1 Blitzwing and all his modes rocked.

 

i way prefer tankor over universe prowl, hes simply more fun to Tf and ive got no QC issues atall, ok hes slightly rough around the edges but thats a general reduction in quality from even last years classics, still a nice toy aside from that no neck.

 

crude comments are hardly necessary but some just have to be said. Lets just say that if you showed just about any adult astrotrain in train mode and siad, 'hey, check out my cool transformer toy' there are very few people who wouldnt raise an eyebrow or at the very least think something along the same lines. to not see it as rather phallic would take a very uncommon mind.

 

Except that no dildo on earth has tiny windows and wheels. While I can certainly understand the tendencies of a dirty mind the idea of Classics Astrotrain resembling a dildo was not by any means a thing that entered into my head until I hit this thread.

 

The Tankor to me is pretty cool.

 

I was actually surprised that I liked it.

 

It's not perfect, but it's definetly a good toy. Could it have been better? Maybe, but we won't know until the next time he gets an update. Which probably won't be for a looong time considering how long it took to get this one.
