Why are too many problems with animated toys?

Bag was missing. No tape residue or torn cardboard.

Maybe there are less people with no issues this time.

The only problem I get with Animated is loose joints, the movie's problems were far worse.

EXTREMELY BAD paint is really annoying y'know!

Sooooooooo obviously that just sooooooo means that there is not a quality control issue? Shall I show you the e-mail I sent to Hasbro, recant my conversation with Hasbro, or send you the boatload of craptacular Animated and Universe toys for inspection?

Actually, I'd be more interested in seeing your figures on how many TFA figures have problems, and the figures for past TF lines. In your own time.

I dunno. I've never had a problem with any TFs since BM Jetstorm (which I had to exchange a couple of times to get one whose missiles would stay in their launchers) until Animated Lockdown. My first Lockdown's leg would not stay on its peg and was promptly exchanged. My Universe Tankor's legs also do not hold together well in truck mode, but it's not quite annoying enough for an exchange.

Statistically, that's maybe 2 TFs in 150 (yeesh), which I don't know is bad or not for QC. Though, my anecdote agrees with OP's observation.

P.S. Love the sig Paradigm-Shift Prime.:)

I really would've thought Hasbro would've got the hang of balljoints and paint apps by now. Since I started collecting TF back in 1984 I've never seen so many problems like this with figures I've bought from a single line.

This may simply be due to the greater visibility for the TF brand, but the perception of bad quality control seems to be the highest that I've seen since I started collecting with RiD. Lately, I've been collecting a lot of AEC stuff, and I can't think of a problem that I've had with any of them that would compare to some of the issues with the movie, animated, and classics 2.0. I understand that there are many, many individual toys produced in these lines that are perfectly fine, but the reports that we've been seeing is definitely enough to take notice of.
