This is the Autobot Double Spy Punch alongside Prowl and Jazz in his official robot mode, i.e. as specified in his instruction booklet:

However, look carefully at the official box art and the cover illustration of his manual:

Based on the positions of the rear end of his car mode and his arms, you're supposed to transform him either like this...

    ...or like this:

    Yuck. :thumbdown

:lol  That's brilliant! Hasbro should whack a sticker on all the ROTF boxes:
"Exclusive part of Alice Toy contained inside each box! Collect all 62 parts to assemble exclusive Alice toy!)

Yes, but you'd think they could get the basics down properly. I mean, there should only be one "proper" way to transform a toy.

As much as I'd like to, I'm afraid I can't take complete credit for this. The TFWiki mentioned that the transformation didn't match the box art in one of their blurbs, but didn't actually post pictures of what it was "supposed" to look like. I had to fiddle with my own toy for a while in order to figure it out. I did, however, come up with the alternate transformation that better matches the color box art's arm positions. :)

I'd take a Firecon or Battle Charger over a Legend or Mini-con any day.

Legends tease us with repaints that their larger counterparts should get.

Mini-cons for the most part are hidious and look like they were designed by Mr. Bay's art dept.

Whoever thought to include the Classics Seekers with the Autobot cars has no concept of reality as they look ridiculous together.

In fact, the Classics may have great articulation but I'd still prefer the more realistic looking and metal G1 versions of Prowl, Sideswipe and co.

Just my opinion. If other people like them, that's their business.

    Holy shit, hahahaha!

How do things like this get through? Are employees blind or do they not give a damn?

lulz. That beat mine out since it was an Ultra Magnus. (and it was a good deal for $15 for a near complete RID set)

Basically, they don't care if you buy a toy, return something in the packaging, as long as it is somehow comparable in size or shape. At least in run down Walmarts and chains like it.

My Target is more discriminating. I've helped employees spot these. The one I remember best was the biggest disappointment- Generic robot figure shoved into Animated Wreck-Gar packaging.
