Question about Animated Voyager Prime

Just got him. When I go to transform him back into truck mode his waist makes a horrible clacking noise that makes me worry I'll break him in half. Is he supposed to do this or am I missing something?

There's a little notch in a black piece that clips into his torso, make sure that's aligned and in place. Rotate his waist 90 degrees to the right(his right), unclick it, then rotate it around while pressing the button so that it doesn't get in the way. When it's where it should be, let go of the tab and it'll lock in place

Thanks. That helped lock his waist in place when in robot mode.

But when I turn him back into a truck should it make that loud clicking noise? I feel like I stripping a gear or something.

I have had experience with two Voyager Primes, and that experience is that there is a certain way you have to turn him to get him to go up without any fuss. I am not sure if it is clockwise or counterclockwise, you just have to turn him a little and if it seems to go up by itself, that's the proper way. Of course, the one that I just started turning and pushing him up, does not do this any longer, so it might be too late.

Rotate the waist back into place instead of just prying it up. Turn his hips 90 degrees to the right before unlocking the waist to ensure he lines up right when he spins up into place.

You are, that's his automorph. Just lift (or is it lower..can't recall) the tab in back and his legs will drop and rotate downwards into place.
