Yes, he has to have balljoints or universal joints for the transformation to work I think. The body of the cat is the middle of the cassette, the legs raise up and out to the sides for cassette mode. That's the impression I got from seeing him twice now.

Pictures were shown at Botcon and TFcon.
Although the general public probably won't be able to see them till comic-con.

When exactly did Ravage hide out on Hound?? When you guys say the pilot, are you talking MMTE, or some episode that is evidently not part of the DVD compilation?

Only time I ever remember seeing Ravage get into the base in MMTE was when Spike carried Soundwave (evidently containing Ravage) into the base. Ravage was subsequently caught and caged up while Soundwave got away. Only other incident like this that I can think of was when Laserbeak snuck into the base on Brawn's shoulder...
could somebody kindly provide a screen cap of when this deal with Ravage and Hound occurred??

I'm so exited for Hound. He's like one of my favourite G1 characters.

I don't offhand recall Ravage hiding in Hound in cassette mode. However, Hound was the one (with Mirage) keeping guard over Ravage when he 'drops' the keys to let him out of the cage; I think that's basically where the double act comes into play.

The cassette mode for Ravage I believe is being advertised as a form of 'prison transport' mode (since they're gambling that most kids now don't even know what a cassette is).

Oh, and RIRFIB. Some of us remember the toys.
