I'm sorry guys but this is really getting old. Every time we see a new line or a new wave people start pissing and moaning about not finding what they want and how it's all Hasbro's fault. Every time I look at a new siting thread some where in there is some post with somebody whining how they wont get this toys for months and stupid hasbro, blah blah blah. I understand the frustration of not finding what you want but why on earth would you blame Hasbro?

I can only assume that the people who do this have no idea how the retail world works or don't care to find out. Hasbro does not hand deliver this stuff to your local store guys. You know those big trucks you see on the freeway with stores names on them? Thats how the toys get there. Distribution is determined by the buying offices of these stores. They determine who gets what and how many. Plain and simple.

If your local store never stocks transformers they probably don't sell well there. My favorite example of this is the Toy manager of one of my local Walmarts. They have not gotten any star wars toys THIS YEAR!!!! Why do you ask ? Well when most of the other walmart's marked down the '06 line to make room for '07 this guy just left them on the pegs. Star Wars toys stopped selling at this location and the depot stopped sending him new product. Stores only stock what sells and they send more product to places where they sell better.

Look I understand it sucks to not just go to the corner store and get the newest stuff but lets put blame where it belongs. Talk to the people who run the department, most of the time they can give you information about what to expect there and if it will change. I talked to one of the toyrus stockers at a local shop and he said that they wont get anything till up to 6 weeks after other Toysrus. They were just a low priority location. Now if you talk to the employees and they dont care or have no clue whats going on then you know what the problem is and you need to go elsewhere. Just please guys stop blaiming Hasbro.

Now keep in mind it makes sense to blame them for other stuff like crappy case ratios, weird gaps between waves, too much product coming out at once, not completing the 6 seekers in a toy line since g1. Just not distribution.

I think they are doing a good job distributing! I've gotten everything I wanted that was not an exclusive :)

Well, in my case, I'm blaming Hasbro for selling the movie line too long. The movie line is rotting on shelves, causing stores not to order much Animated (at least, that's the way it goes at most locations, specifically with Deluxes).

The movie line was far more a case of retailers saying "We want more movie toys because they sell well", over Hasbro trying to prolong it themselves.

But its not selling so well now, is it? Can't say for the US, but down here, the movie stuff is pretty much occupying space. Space better left for Animated and Universe Classics.

But again, it was retailers moreso than Hasbro that desired it to continue.
