okay time to add a few

classics bumblebee:hates his life and commits suicide every chance he gets...seriously, when he was stationed on my bed, he would slowly inch over until he fell

classics megatron and starscream:i think i pulled them straight out of g1 or something, cause one day starscream must of said something "smart" and megatron spun around and knocked starscream off the bed and into the floor (really megatron's fusion cannon got bumped by my brother and he spun around, and took out starscream, but it was funny as hell)

my 76 camaro bumblebee comforted me when my grandpa passed away earlier this year. i took him to the hospital with me while we waited on his surgery, ultimately it was unsuccessful and he passed away a few days later, but BB was there the whole time. i dunno why, we left our house at 4 in the morning that day and i saw bb standing there, and for no reason i took him, transformed him into car mode and put him in my pocket. i never take toys with me when i go places (im 17, too old for that stuff), but for some reason, on this particular outing, i felt compelled to take him. i never told anyone except my mom, who saw me playin with him on the car ride (we had to travel 4 hours to the hospital that my grandpa was at)

people say 76 camaro BB is inferior to the 08 and i guess i've always had sympathy for him. to me hes a great fig, one of my favs even if he has duckfeet :)

So...I'm kinda confused. Do you consider your toys to be subconscious extensions of your own personality or representations of internal alternate personalities?

LOL absolutly not haha but that might be associated with the fact that i only have a few and boxed, on the other hand i have a closet full of masters of the universe and that feeling never came across either

I once woke to find some Transformers beating up a Go Bot I put too close. Other than that, my TFs are fairly lifeless.

My movie SS would fall off the top of my bureau. My nephew would always joke and say something like he was trying to attack him or Prime was being a dick and pushed him.

Apparently, 20th Prime is the kind of figure that I can ONLY POSITION IN EPIC POSES!

He's got that superhero look to him, just as Classics Prime has that badassery look. Each figure kind of holds the personality I made for them in my webcomic, and they're always consistent and doing their own thing. It's cool.

Yes.  By the way, they are not toys or dolls. Transformers are Action Figures!

I sometimes imagine toys with their own personalities separate from their established media characters (a little like "Toy Story", but more like "Twisted Toyfare Theatre"), but I'm not getting any kind of psychic vibe or whatever off them.

They are all alive in comic strips though. :)

I've never literally seen him as alive, but once in a while my movie Megatron takes a dive off of the display shelf. And Movie Voyager Prime keeps shooting off his missles. (Man, that came out wrong.)

Lol i love the topic, i sit at times and wish that i could summon the imagination that i had as a kid. I'd love to get em out and have a play because i don't care what people think. But alas i can't find that childhood imagination :(

And yes some do look alove at times.

Oh yes. Especially when you set one up, lower your head a bit, and just stare into one's eyes...........

    Light piping really helps too.
