ok we all know *and most of us hate them for it* hasbro made the classic seekers for botcon and i was thinking... do you think they will do that with animated seekers? i know we will get 2 or 3 seekers in mass release but do you think hasbro will do the rest as a botcon set? realy its a hate/hate for hasbro we will hate them if we don't get all the seekers and we will hate them if we get them as botcon toys
I figure we'll get a couple in mass release as Voyager repaints, and a couple of Activator repaints. And possibly some store exclusives.
I can see your point, but don't you think it's a bit early to be jumping the gun? The line isn't even officially out yet and there's already whispers of "Evil Hasbro planning to screw over fans."
I wonder if there's licensing issues involved with Animated due to Cartoon Network's involvement? If so, I think it'd be a longshot to see Botcon Animated. If not...I sense an all-Animated set from Botcon in two years, as mixing animated with other toys would look strange, and I believe they already have a plan in the works for next year's set.
I doubt Hasrbo will alow FP to release characters on the show. Seen on the show = kids might want them and they can sell a lot more than in stores than they can through a convention exclusive. So, FP probably can't touch Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstorm, Ramjet or the girl seeker. They may allow them to release the seekers not on the show. So far, I don't think we've heard of a Thrust or Dirge on the show. FP might be allowed to release them. They will still be in demand since fans will want a 'full set'.
Yeah, again, the only reason Hasbro even OK'ed the Con set to begin was because they hadn't planned on going back to Classics so soon after the movie. And let's face it, even if FP DIDN'T do the set, there would be endless complaints of Hasbro "neglecting" the fans by not doing the complete set at all, or it would have taken a couple years to do. They were hosed either way. And to be more accurate, fans want a full set of the original trio. Fans don't seem terribly upset that the Coneheads were never done in Titanium, and Energon didn't even see ANY of the other seekers aside from Starscream, period. I believe that given we've already seen a non-show repaint in Activators, I'd be VERY surprised if Starscream got redone two or three times in the forseeable future, with a few Voyager repaints sprinkled through out the next few years.
It all depends on the length of the line. I'm sure they would bring it back every couple of waves but if the line only lasts 18 months or something then it wouldnt happen
