Hey everyone - quick question. I've got the Transformers Identification and Price Guide by Mark Bellomo, and according to it, the Seacon Gift Set was a foreign release only. However, I bought this at a Toys R Us in Missouri:

I didn't embed the images because they're pretty big.

Anyone have any idea what something like that might be worth? I'm not looking to sell it at this point, but have to admit I'm curious. I realize it's worth less without the box itself.

 

I don't see the little guns there, so I'm guessing it isn't complete. In that case you could probably get $150 to $230 (depending on just how many pieces are missing). If you have all the accessories I think the highest you could get for it would be $340.

 

the japanese set had ALL 6 bots, the north american one had only 5. maybe there was confusion.

 

That's strange. Why would they do that?

 

I saw a set similar to this on ebay not that long ago that went for about $300 if memory serves. If it had the box and all the individual guns, its go for over $1000 easy. The US seacon giftset is one of the hardest to come by and it was also not given a huge release back in the day.

Cdn - probably had something to do with the size of the box, to keep it the same size as the other giftset boxes.

 

No idea. I know its why Nautalator is so damn expensive. he was only ever available on card here in NA, while the others where also in the gift set.

Just out of curiosity, where does Nautalator go? I was looking at God Neptune and it looks like it only has five and I can't find an obvious place for a sixth.

I would like to get a US Piranacon Giftset sometimes later in the future. I want all the US giftsefts and he will be the most expensiv one.

Anyway how much would you think I could get for this set to get money for the giftset.

Piranacon 100% complete. Snaptrap MIB C9 with bubble and all parts c9 box no flap crease. All small bots in c8-c9 condition with all individually guns and accesseoris.

Any ideas because I have seen loose piranacons go for insane ammounts.

I was obsessive about collecting, even as a kid. Wish I'd kept the boxes though...

I even acquired Nautilator after the gift set just so I'd have his Targetmaster weapon.

Well I think it all depends I think the complete giftset is selling for over 1,000, there are some individual figures boxed selling for about 200. If you sell them all together and they are not complete I would say 200 to 300. I never knew they released them in the US, but they also released a Computron giftset in the US one is for sale on ebay.
