| Hooray for Sam & Max references!
That does look pretty nice. I'm not a huge fan of the Subaru mold on the whole (blasted back end is a nightmare to get lined up), but that definitely makes for a nice piece.
I may... may... pick one up. We'll see. |

I may... may... pick one up. We'll see. | The thing is, on these KOs, there are always a few little quality issues -- it comes with the territory, and you have to be willing to accept whatever minuscule flaws the dice throw at you when you order. It takes a little TLC.
If a joint is wobbly, you might have to disassemble it and add some nail polish. You may have to tighten some screws, and almost certainly have to carve off some sprue thorns with an x-acto. In some cases, you might have to swap arms or hands, repair factory-misassembled bits, or even remove pins and fix misaligned joints. (Good news is that they use smooth pins on these KOs, so you can just slide them right out.)
I mention this because one of the Subaru KOs I got, the foot pin -- the one holding the window, trunk, and ankle in place -- was put in crooked and the two halves would never line up correctly until I took the time to figure out what was wrong. This Pseudo-BB? Nearly perfect right out of the box. |

To expect the same level of quality as Hasbro/TakaraTomy give us each year is a bit much. That being said, the Alt and BT KOs I've owned are very nicely done for the most part.
I think the price point of most of these KOs is where most of us really want the same bang for our buck, so to speak though. It seems that many of these pieces don't reflect the same level of quality for the same level of pricing. Fortunately, I've been able to get my Metals Transform toys for around $30 each. Once I start looking at paying more than $30 or so for a given Alt or BT KO, I start to stay away.
I can get past many of the few loose joints and some of the minor alignment to enjoy the pieces I own. I wouldn't mind to have one of these "Bumblebee" KOs, but I'm not going to be too disappointed if I don't, especially since I have a heap of Imprezas |

I just can't resist, I'm such a sucker.
I wish we had more car models, rather than having 3 or 4 repaints of the same vehicle molds... maybe in the future... |

I do think the robot parts will lend themselves well to reshells, as others before me have proven many times.
This one is just too much $$ for not enough payoff I guess. If the stripes were gone, I'd be all over it. |
