That's the only place I've seen them, as most online retailers aren't going to deal with the hassle of importing whole boxes of KO toys (Except A3U) so it falls to the individual resellers who can pick them up directly from the factories and markets in China and HK.

Plus this particular figure is rather new, even to the Chinese KO scene. You may see more of them trickle onto Ebay in the future, but the problem is that this is one of the Die-Cast BT KOs, not the cheap, all-plastic ones like the common Prowl and Wheeljack figures littering ebay. So it costs more for the initial buyer, weighs a lot more, so the shipping costs more, and it ends up being kind of impractical and not really cost-effective for most sellers to bother.

When it costs 50$ to get you a single bootleg figure, the demand and profit margin are both very slim.

True true. And the head is cast in yellow plastic, so all you REALLY need to do, is strip the red paint from his forehead. Some black paint on the arms and legs, and he'd be a pretty convincing half-custom.

And here is the auction that I bought it from. You can get to the seller's store from there. He said he's trying to get more of them, but it may be a few weeks until he can restock on some of the KO BTs.

Without trying to sound like a walking advertisement, the guy that I bought this from is pretty cool, and swallowing the obscene import shipping becomes a bit easier when you stack a bunch of toys and the combined discounts kick in. He's not really stretching the shipping costs all that much, sadly. The first .5kg are where the Chinese post really stiffs you.

That's what I was going to say. That actually looks really cool! I may have to snag one of those. The colors aren't horrible and it's one of the better Alt./BT molds.

Oddly enough, as much as I've thoroughly enjoyed the bootleg BTs, I'm still a bit undecided on this one. Couple with this the fact that I'm still saving up for the last two BTs (Arcee and Convoy), and the purchase is even harder for me.

Just my cent and a half, but the sports stripes are the aspect that is turning me off from it. I either want Alts/BTs using molds for other characters or I'd like to see an actual line of movie toys made to 1:24 scale. I'm already planning on making the "movie" Jazz into a different character as well. The stripes are too indicative of the concept Camaro for me I suppose.

I think this is said very well. Add to this that I've talked to one of these sellers (not this guy, but another), and he pretty much told me that he wanted to straight up double his money. He was adding in every single expenditure he had and a lot of other things to try to justify it. When I was talking to him, I was actually trying to help him come up with a good solution for both him and his buyers. Needless to say, with his mode of thinking, he wasn't selling 'em for very long. When a buyer starts going over $40-50 for one of these toys, and the seller's idea of "combined shipping" is putting items in the same box and charging the same amount of shipping per item (i.e. not a combined price), one doesn't end up with much.
