Do you know what might suck for those who already bought their Animated toys on E-Bay? When the mass release which comes next month doesn't have any of the quality issues (a good example: Lockdown's hands) that have been reported lately.
I, from experience with Transformers as a whole, have found early figures AND later-run figures to have the best quality. The first-run figures are the only ones that have ever caused me any problems. I foresee most of the issues being mostly taken care of, but Lockdown's hands will not be one of them. Those need fixed by whoever buys the figure. The repaint is supposed to have that fixed, but I don't see that seeing the light of day any time soon.
According to Hasbro panel at BotCon, they said they'll try to fix his hand problem before release. I hope it's true or I might have to wait til I get it's redeco if it's any good.
What's that issue you talk about? I read the Q&A Panel at botcon, but I never knew what the deal with it, is it a paint blob or the hands brake or come off easily?
The hands don't fold out fully into the "open" position. It makes him look a bit limp-wristed if you know what I mean ^^
Nope, not fixed, his hands don't open enough to look normal. At least with the hook you only see one.
they were talking about his repaint later one. (with the chainsaw) The current Lockdown figure is designed to have the hands stop at a 45 degree angle. (for whatever reason, it's hard to fix) And most people have reported more issues with store-bought figs than pre-releases. My figs (excluding Prowl's head) weren't bad at all, but I've heard some bad stuff as far as paint quality goes. (mostly with Prowl)
Yeah. You'll never have a line with no quality issues, it's just something that happens with mass-release products.
