Binaltech Vs Alternators

Does anybody know the difference between the Alternators and the Binaltech? I know Binaltech is from Takara and Alternators from Hasbro is there anyother difference besides the packaging.

Binaltechs have die-cast metal car panels, and in some cases have different paint jobs than the all plastic Alternators.

Also, a good deal (but not all) of the Binatechs have the steering wheel on the right side of the car, all the Alternators, except for an early version on Silverstreak have the steering wheels on the left.

ooh, but except for bt rijie and kp optimus and rodimus, right? I'm pretty sure there's no diecast in those. just want to make sure they get the specifics

KP Optimus and Rodimus don't count KP is not Binaltech. Rijie was an eHobby exclusive made of clear plastic.

I was under the impression that BT-17 Skids and BTA-03 Broadblast were the last BTs to have any diecast parts. All of the figures after that (Kissplay and exclusives) were all plastic like their alternator counter parts.

Black Convoy was officially part of the BT line even though it was an exclusive, but it had no die cast if memory serves.

What he said, plus Alternators have some characters that BT does not have like Ricochet and Rollbar and Decepticharge and Non-Clear Mirage.

naw, the convention exclusive from Japan? that sucker's almost all metal. I fawn after one, but only to replace my alt. trailbreaker custom with a metal one so I'll never be able to justify the now $400 pricetag.

I have black convy and he has Die-cast for sure. Plus KP is not BT. if it were they would have been numbered and Black Convoy would not have been BT-17 since Skids was 16. he would have been BT 20 if KP rodiums,Prime and autorooper were part of BT.
