Found these pics on my copmuter, and can't remember what Prime this is, or where I found the pics. I think it was a model kit, possibly from Wonderfest? Can anyone help me ID this Prime? Also, anyone know where to get one? Thanks!

This does look like a kit. Even says "Non-Scale" on that info card.

 

According to google, it's Wonderfest '05 (?) exclusive Atelier-Sai resin kit. Your memory is correct  
Not sure where to get one...yahoo jp auctions, I reckon?

I doubt it. I think it comes un-assembled and colourless.

 

That's the KT Convoy kit it was at Wonderfest an Exclusive (Overstock) I seen one on E-bay a while back go for $35.00

This looks like the same kit.... What do you all think? Is it authentic, or a knock-off?

A minimum of 10 preorders are required for any more to be produced. Any one else interested?

 

If it's from Hobbyfan, it's a recast... that's not really a bad thing necessarily, I've bought from them before and been very pleased, but HF has been having some problems lately with their recast firms shutting down and having to juggle around production... it's hard to say if you'd be able to get it cast for another run evne if you could get the preorder quota right now.

Ok i said that wrong but you didnt see the kit I had and not for no 35 bucks.
They were long sold out at wonderfest and I been after one when I first saw it.
Been looking for another one for years....

 

Why do people on the internet always have to come off as asses? You were wrong so why get upset and act like a jerk. His specialty is Convoy and to locate the pices he has Im sure hes on Ebay a lot so I would take the word of an expert collector over someone who just spurts out an answer just to sound informed.

 

Unless Hobbyfan gets 10 order requests for it, it may not happen for another few years or never. I've read that Hobbyfan's recasts are very good in quality.

But with the ethics, they're technically illegal, but they've been operating for years. As a warning to those who will be looking for it on Ebay, make sure you don't buy a Thai Recast, I'm not making a racist comment, it's just well known to all resin kit modellers that they make garbage resin kit recasts, they typically have lots of air bubble, holes, and crappy resin used. This is why at Wonderfest, resin kit makers don't like to sell to non-Japanese people, for fear that it will be recasted.

You may be able to buy the recasted kit cheap, but you'll also need to commission someone to make it for you, which may cost a few bills, heh. And no, Transformers customizing paint and methods won't work with this.

 

i dont collect bootlegs so hobbyfan can recast all they want. They will not get my money.

D'oh! Should have guessed! Hope you don't mind my using your pics. If I see a Prime I don't have, I tend to save the pic, but I didn't name those very good, so I couldn't remember. Anyway, thanks for the confirmation.

As long as I have been in the fandom, I'm pretty sure I don't randomly spurt out answers to just sound informed as you put it. So maybe you should take the begining of your post and apply it to yourself.

And I have been collecting since the first Transformers hit the shelves in 1984so I guess that makes me an expert collector as well, and with a collection nearing 1500 pieces not counting other TF related merchindise I'd say that makes me an expert collector!.

Hell, The Crazy Collector even posted a link for a knock off of the kit that the company hobby fan made, But it has it as out of stock but was sold for $36.00 at one point, now did anyone think "Well maybe that's the one he might have seen!" But No! right away ppl want to jump down my throat and tell me im imagining things and that im wrong... but I guess the old saying is true, Opinions are like assholes...
