Worth it? Pic's? |

Like my other e-Hobby product, I haven't opened them. I do like the colors however. If you can find them for less than $50 jump on it... |

Collection Count: 400 | lol they don't look bad, the only problem is that you can pick up the whole set of the the originals, times 2 sometimes, for the price of one of these sets. but if you can pick them up for cheap and want them i say go for it!

You can find each Insecticon complete and in decent shape for $15. |

this set and overcharge( blitzwing) and detritus( hound) seem to go cheaper than the actual official color reissues............. I dont see why though cuz arent e-hobby sets in limited numbers by default? and none of the color schemes are horrific.....
i was pretty close to ordering them but someone on the boards got me a set of originals in damn near mint condition for 30 bucks, loose of course |

Their color scheme is fairly weird... very unconventional for a Transformer, mostly because what would have been black plastic on the Insecticons is a chocolatey brown on the clones. Mixed with the red, yellow, and green, it's an odd and unique combo. The red "cockpits" look excellent, though.
Clone "Bombshell" (I forget what his clone name is... Shothole, maybe?) is my favorite of the bunch, probably because he's just red, brown, and yellow (no green). It's really striking.
Other than that, they come with three little energon cubes just like the Insecticon re-issue, and Kickback has the pointed, non-child-safe wingtips. Sorry, wish I could snap photos of them, but I don't have them handy at the moment.
I think they are a VERY nice set, well worth owning in their own right. I'm not sure I'd say they are a "replacement" for the traditional, Transformer-version Insecticons, though... that yellow/black/purple scheme is awfully iconic. |
