I'll be getting both Burning Convoy and Flash Lio Convoy MISB within the next week or so. Are they any particularly rare? And how's the quality? I noticed that Flash Lio has some gold plastic, does he suffer from GPS? Would it be safe to open them and put in an awesome display pose in my Detolf or will they be better off MISB?
Congrats! No toy's better off sealed IMO, but this only leads to the same old discussion. Flash Lio is not rare at all (I actually think he's more common than regular Lio Convoy). Burning Beast Convoy can be fairly easily found in Japan, so if you are willing to pay, it's not exactly rare, either. I don't have Burning Beast Convoy, but I like my Flash Lio (he's very blond ) and he shows no sign of cracking.
Phew Thanks, that's one relief. I was looking at pics on Cobraislandtoys and noticed how badass Flash Lio Convoy looks posed, but my experience with clear plastic and the horror stories about GPS had me worried. Now I only need to find a pair of those low-heat lights for my Detolf, that'll make the ultimate display for them
BUMP So I finally got them. Flash Lio Convoy is a beauty! But one thing about Burning Convoy had me thinking... Is the red "dust" a common flaw with MISB/MIB Burning Convoys? Mine's covered with the stuff, and it looks bad. Is this somethings that happens over age or is it just a bad sample?
Mine had that too, back when I owned one. Probably one of the weirdest quirks I've seen in a toy, period.
Ya the dust you speak of is common on the Burning Convoy unfortunately. Congrats on both pickup's they are both very cool toys.
No no, the red dust is his "hate plague spore" accessory Seriously, though, that's a very weird quirk.
So it's only with Burning? If anyone has a pic of the said dust, please post it. I am considering putting him in my next shopping list
Thanks everyone. Good to know it's just not mine then You sure it's just an accessory? I got the strangest urge to harm things after playing around with him last night (actually, the first thing I thought when I discovered the dust was "anthrax". Guess I'm a bit paranoid ) Uh huh, I thought that the slimy pretender monsters and Victory Dinoforce was pretty weird, but plastic creating dust all on its own!?
