Movie 2007 Toys - Piecing Together The Waves

I suspect we will be getting Waves 3, 4, and 5 well before the listed dates. Or at least the US will. The Toys R Us stores in the Vancouver, BC, Canada area still don't have the Wave 2 Deluxes. Fortunately, Zellers does.

It doesn't really look like the redeco: FBJ looks grey, not white, and the G1 redeco's blue stripe is missing from the front of FBJ's chest. I can't be certain, though, until we get more information.

Knowing that Hasbro probably won't release 3 versions of a mold/character in the same line, I still believe FBJ was either a miscommunication OR is the Target G1 Jazz.

That's just flat-out wrong, since we know Hasbro is putting out 3 versions of the Starscream mold in this very line (and if we want to get into characters, there'll be 4 Primes by the end). In fact, the treatment of Starscream parallels Jazz exactly: Each mold gets a movie deco release, a slight remold and a retailer-exclusive G1-style repaint.

Thundercracker (head remold, new paint job) and Final Battle Jazz (new gun, altered paint job)
G1 Starscream (Target exclusive) and G1 Jazz (Target exclusive)

But its using the same mold and modifying certain bits of it. Same concept.

Thundercracker is basically the same mold as Starscream, with minor changes, just like FBJ is basically the same mold as Jazz, with minor changes. And you also ignored my point that they are releasing more than three versions of at least one character in this line: Optimus Prime. Thus, it's not out of the question they'd release 3 versions of another character, especially when one of the versions of Jazz is slated to be a Target exclusive and not widely available.

We got a perfectly clear picture of FB Jazz on the back of Dropkicks packaging, he has battle scarring/damage and has a new weapon. Possibly a gun.

Also, voyager Megatron is out already.

Sorry for bumping up such an old thread, but given the discussion here I thought it was worth it.

While we still don't have a release date, we now have solid proof that Final Battle Jazz is not the same as the G1 redecoed Jazz. Pictures of G1 Jazz can be found in the various BotCon galleries. Good pictures of Final Battle Jazz can be found here:
