Last week I bought a 12 inch Palisades Optimus Prime statue off E-Bay for about $90 shipped. I got it yeseterday, opened it up, and realized that one of the lights on top of Prime's cab/chest is broken off. The chipped off piece is missing, so it can't be glued back on. The seller has offered a refund, but how much do you all think is fair? Advice? Opinions? Thanks! P.S. Anyone was a slightly damaged 12 inch Paslisades Optimus Prime statue? -Mods, if this is in the wrong place, please move it. Thanks!-
What he said... the amount that you paid for the item. Was it unbroken in the picture in the auction?
if you're gonna send him back the statue, then a total refund is what you should get...if you're going to keep the statue i'd ask for 20 bucks back.....but, remember that if you ask for a complete refund, i think you are supposed to pay for shipping back to the seller....
Sorry, should have clarified. The seller is offering a partial refund, and I keep the statue. You can see the chip in the picture from the listing (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150106754634&rd=1&rd=1), if you really look for it, but the listing description said "In great shape." Missing is one of the center lights on top of Prime's chest (the one of the left side of the picture). Like Lumpy said, I'd have to pay to ship it back to him, and I'd rather not do that. I'm pretty sure I could find a buyer locally and save myself the shipping costs.
