There's a search button in the top right corner of the thread, right under the page numbers.:)  You could type in "MP Bumblebee" or "Masterpiece Bumblebee" and see if anything turns up.

Can anyone tell if this is a counterfeit Slag? I got it probably more than 5 years ago at a comic shop, the box it came in looked real, but the toy itself looks too new to be real.

Does anyone know if there are plans to KO MP Ironhide & Ratchet, I'm going Voodoo Robots for the figures and really only want the Takara mould for the sled and accessories

Has anyone bought the translucent G1 Slugfest cassette KO yet?

I've seen a few floating around for sale online, but before I buy one, I'm curious about how good the quality is.

Wondering if anyone has any of their own pictures, feedback, or reviews.

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell a repro or ko bubble from the original? Specifically Dinobots.

Hi guys. I'm new to the boards and collecting. Just wanted to get your opinion on the Masterpiece KO versions. I'm thinking about starting a KO collection. How is the quality of the figures compared to the original Takara Tomy versions? Overall are they almost identical?

Personally I just want the KO version to be decent enough and remind me of the old G1 toys I used own when I was a kid. I'm particularly interested in Prime and Sideswipe. Also can I trust the shops in China that sell them for $30-40 on Ebay? Any advice would greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There's a thread in the 3rd party forum discussing them. Some are almost as good as the originals, some are utter crap. Many of the originals can be had for $50 now, but some are expensive.

I have owned KOs of the sideswipe mold and wheeljack mold and both were sloppily painted, had loose joints, and the occasional misaligned pin. It drove me nuts. You might have better luck or not care. Its your choice.

Also know that the people you're shorting are the artists and designers that made the real ones, its essentially the same crime as pirating a movie or a CD.

Is there a reputated agent for genuine products. How to tell if a product is KO? Buying it when it was just released probably a way to avoid it, any other way?

Yeah I don't know what KOs he's buying- mine are awesome.

But how do you tell the difference? That's easy! Price. One is what you should be paying for a plastic toy- the other is inflated.

Rather than "How to tell Authentic from KO" lately I've been wondering how to tell one flavor of KO from another such as a KO Wheeljack with Rubber tires from one with Plastic wheels (without opening the box).

P.s. There seems to be some dispute over if the KO Star Saber is actually a KO at all but might rather be an additional mould made for Hasbro to sell them on Hasbro Toyshop.com.

I'm leaning towards KO if only because some of the parts seem to be flipped rather than having a left an right and that smells like miss-assembly, Bad Factory practices or a KO.

But quality wise there is no great distinction and as some have pointed out some of the later versions parts are actually tighter. and since the "KO" SS are less than half the cost and you need a jewelers lens to spot the smaller differences I think if you know what you are buying it's a good purchase - obviously not ideal if you pay the premium and don't get the original though. I was put off by the £130.00+ Price tag of the original but since the KO is like £55.00 I'm seriously considering him now and putting some of the saving towards a KFC simba -and then if I ever trip over the original on sale then I have one to keep combined and one to use on it's own or just for the "Saber" robot.
