Question about the Chinese KO G1 combiners... The individual carded limbs have cards that state that patches are included. Did they KO the patches as well?

Sorry if this not the appropriate thread to ask this, but it is regarding KOs and identifying them...I thought this was better than starting a new thread.

Would anyone know if the date stamps differ greatly? My Starscream one seems correct. But the other 2 are a little iffy..

Also, if anyone have the MP-52 seekers, Gen or KO, can I please ask if the included stand was tired to the internal packaging? Or did it come loose in the box?

    Cheers

I saw some G1 seekers KO on ShowZ but not sure about the quality. The Computron KO has several bad comments.

I recently purchased an MP-47 hound from ebay. It wasn't priced cheaply but wasn't as expensive as some others. Can someone please tell me what to look for to make sure it's authentic and hopefully not a KO. It is sealed and I usually don't take them out of the box if they are sealed. I found something awhile back but I can't find that link where it showed the difference between the two. Thanks in advance

These are my posts from page 75 of this thread. If the box doesn’t have any stamps on it, it could still be authentic but you wouldn’t know unless you open it and find the stamps on the figure itself.

Mine looks exactly like the pic that shows KO519 and it says made in China. Actually mine is exactly like that picture. It is stamped into the box with the exact same KO519 that is in the picture. This makes me feel a lot better knowing it is an authentic one and not a KO. Thank you so much for your quick reply!!!!

This is exactly where to ask this question.

Anybody have an answer for this one?

Yes the stand came tied under the plastic insert with cord/string. As for the date stamps, what do you mean by differs greatly? The date stamps on the box and the date stamps on the figure are far apart?

I haven't seen on the figure, only the box. In the save or skywarp, there's isnt even on one the box, only on the black outter sleeve.

    I Starscream starts with a D, Thundercracker with a G, and Skywarp with a 1. Or many it's an I.

Seems like it's a Letter, followed by 4 numbers.

Thanks for the info on the packaging. When looking at those online reviews, it seems KOs don't tie the stand to the internal plastic. Just sits there lose. Well, I have yet to see one..

So no black sleeve with a factory date code stamped on the main box is a Takara release. The black sleeve indicates a Hasbro US release and it will have the stamp on the outer black sleeve and none on the inner box.
A Hasbro date code is 5 numbers. The first number is the last digit of the year, the next 3 numbers specify the day of the year and the last number is the factory code of where it was produced.
A Takara date code is a letter followed by 4 numbers. The letter is the month (A=Jan.), the following 2 numbers are the day and the last two numbers are the year.
All of them (the seekers) will have a matching or close (date wise) to matching stamp inside the lower leg. So it sounds like your Starscream and Thundercracker are Takara releases, and your Skywarp is a Hasbro release.

Can anyone provide me some high quality shots of the KO G1 Blitzwing. The one that came in the TF box, not one of the older bootlegs. Looks for pics of the stamps and molding as best as possible.

See, I've gotten lots of KOs that were pretty darn good, lots that were trash. I'm not sure where that one will stand....but I'm also considering it because it has all the parts. Mine's short Scamper, and I have Combiner Wars hands on it. I could just take the parts and add to mine, but the stickers also look great on that KO

I got a chance to replace my broken MP-49 with another one but I think this one is a KO.

Here's pic of the bottom of the box:

    MP-49-1.jpg

From my understanding, if there is no stamped number on bottom then it's a KO.

    Here are some more pics:

    MP-49-1.jpg MP-49-7.jpg MP-49-6.jpg MP-49-5.jpg MP-49-4.jpg MP-49-3.jpg MP-49-2.jpg

So is this a legitimate version or a KO? I don't think the indented numbers on the black box cover mean anything but I thought I would ask for some opinions.

It’s probably authentic. Hasbro releases have the factory stamps on the outer black sleeve but not on the inner box. The 5 digit code is the date, 139th day of 2020. The C3688A is a Hasbro model number. You will also find these codes somewhere on the figure, usually printed. It’s possible the printed date code on the figure could be several days off, 132nd or 135th or they could match exactly.
Also, no KO company has copied the black Hasbro sleeve that I know off.
