The instructions are KO from an orange Chinese “Devastator” but the green toy looks real. I had the orange thing as a kid, that why the instructions are printed in orange.

 

1. So I took a risk on this figure After seeing many of the guides and pictures of Real Transformers reflector. I feel fairly confident I got a good deal at 170 But I thought maybe I could get some expert opinions on it. I've always wanted this one since I was a kid and I snag the opportunity while I could in auction. Also just as more of a opinion assuming it is real should I get the real box which doesn't do much for it display wise or buy the more artistic KO box for it so it can look good on my shelf.

Hello. Does the shutter button click when you press it? Easiest way to tell unless they made a running change. Also, if you are asking for opinions on getting a vintage box or ko box, I say get a real box if you must. The KO box cheapens the appeal IMO. Even more bold, I would say, don't even bother getting a box. It doesn't do that much anyway except maybe protect the figures.

 

Yes it does and after a couple of semi experts who looked at it I am confident it is real. I do plan on getting the original box waiting for the right price.

Picked up this little beauty looked for all the tells for knockoff on the box. It looks legit to me could be wrong though. But I feel this is a nice addition to the collection brought manual stickers and stuff in separate auction. Some extra opinions would be fantastic.

 

are there any known knock-offs of Astrotrain that have the Hasbro 83 stamp on them? I found a good quality astrotrain. I am fairly confident it's not a Walmart reissue due to the stamping, stickers, and the underside of the shuttle has the more full black paint under it. The things that are a little funky to me are the rubsign... activates super easy and a little offset... stays activated for a while. Sticker wear is not consistent. Some look rough, some look relatively clean (maybe applied later).

 

Hello Guys, i need your advice, i would like to start buying KO G1 at Ebay from Chinese Sellers. My purpose is emotional to have a "G1 toy with the box" but i don't want to buy a piece of junk that breaks as soon as i have it.
Is it worth buying? for example i want to buy Abominus gifset or Sunstreaker. What do you guys think?

 

I know the same "G1 toy with the box" feeling.

I haven't opened my Terrorcons yet, but Sunstreaker is known as one of the lower quality KO's.

• The arms don't transform well, as the molding is too thick but this can be trimmed.
• The joint of the car hood that forms the robot feet broke off on mine.

However, keeping it in either mode it is fine and it looks good. It looks a bit obvious next to the genuine article but I would still recommend it for the feels.

I don't have the Terrorcon boxed giftset, but I grabbed the new set of individually carded figures, and I was so impressed I ordered the Technobots as well. For 130-140 dollars, I don't see how you'd do better if you want G1 MOC display pieces.

 

Sorry for the old question but are any of the MP boxes with the red Japanese characters KOs? such as in these photos:

I do not know about Sunstreaker, but l ordered the KO Abominus last year and l amazed of the quality for being a KO.

I saw these Transformers-branded items in Greece while I was at a local toy retailer, but I never saw them before anywhere else. I am not sure if they are legitimate (as everything TF related in Greece was a knockoff for sure), but I wanted to know. Any help is appreciated.

 

Yep, the Dickie Toys Transformers are legit. The Rescue Bots playsets and the lone BotBot I see are legit, as well.
