So, first, I did give you credit...
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...mib-computron-gift-sets-fake-repro-boxes.html

But besides that, I think you're mis-remembering. Back then I agreed with you that it was fishy and that the boxes could be fake, I just disagreed with you that the contents were fakes. I didn't look into it any further, because it seemed like it would be difficult to find hard proof, and I'm not going to announce to the world someone is a scammer unless I have proof to back it up.

The contents are pretty obviously originals if you look at the auction pictures. They have applied stickers, some are missing parts. I stand by that observation. If you have some evidence that the contents are fakes too, you should tell us...

Very much agreed. The current and sold Computron box sets look like they have used figures. It's not impossible the figures received by the buyers are KOs, but more proof is needed to say the KOs are in the wild. We already know Zhong Jin is willing to just release and sell the KO boxes, given the Soundwave box.

Also, does anyone have e3nine's Optimus Prime comparison pictures? It looks like they're no longer hosted on his Comcast webspace, http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...prime-original-vs-reproduction-revisited.html. His other guides use photobucket and are fine.

While I hate KOs, I do have the Headmaster Warriors set, only because they are in fact quite well made, and I'd never be able to afford the real things. I can tell you that the heads do in fact fit on G1 bodies.

Could someone post or link to a lot of close-up pictures of the KO dinobots both in package and out of package? Thanks.

HighEndTFs should handle the in package questions, but there does not seem to be a good comparison/rundown of the Dinobots loose with picture comparisons to the real things.

What I am really looking for is pictures of them taken out of the box, but still in sealed bubbles. I don't think HighEndTFs has any pictures of that.

Probably the best would be to find someone who has them. It seems that most people buying these aren't TF collectors (at least the ones online) but there are a couple people here that have them. I see them occassionally in the Collection forum in pictures.

Yeah, I may try the Collection or Junkion Exchange forums to see if I can find someone that has them. I don't want to resort to buying my own KOs just so I can tell the difference.

Does anyone know anything about this KO? It is sort of a partsformer. If it wasn't broken, it would actually be pretty cool. I think I got it around 1990, and it is probably older than that... maybe even pre-Transformers. I haven't found any manufacturer markings on it yet.

Also can anyone ID these? They are marked Japan 1982. They look like they must combine to form a large robot, but I only ever had these pieces. I feel like I remember them in a cartoon.

I don't know who the first guy is but the last 4 parts you have pictured are from the Matchbox Vehicle Team Voltron set...There were 15 pieces that combined to form the big Vehicle Team Voltron.

Cool, Thank you! That explains why I thought I remembered seeing them in a cartoon.

They aren't that old! Are you sure? Maybe they are really that old, but they have been released more recently.

I'm not 100%. I know it is at least 10 years old based on where I had it stored, but I don't honestly know where I got it from.

They have been released and re-releasing the "duocon"-style toy since the mid-1990's. A lot of the toys that have been released like that were original designs by small off-brand Japanese companies. Somehow the molds got into the hands of the same people that make TF knockoffs, so you seem them right next to a fake Devastator, Superion, etc. in pretty much the same packaging. So in summary, it's an original Japanese design that fell into the hands of KO makers.

ah yes, that's the Vehicle Voltran Dairugger XV playset. I have it in my room right now! Over 25 years old! Originally said to be coated in lead paint that can lead to Rye Syndrome. But I digress.... lol

    lol
I truly can't answer that. All I can tell you is, (true story) when I was about 10 or so, I was in my playroom about to literally open that toy for the FIRST time, when my mother came running down the stairs yelling and screaming for me to package the toy back up. After asking why, she replied that she JUST heard on news there was a recall due to "lead in the paint" for that figure. At 10 years old, you don't question much after that point. The figure remained packaged up in mint condition until a year ago, when I took it out for display reasons.

I'm sure a simple internet search could yield some results for you.

The one in your pic looks like the standard Hasbro US version, although there are 2 versions. The one you have and also one that has a cardboard peice that says Hunt for the Decepticons.

The one you linked to appears to be the Canadian version.
