1987 LEGO "Transformer"

Just saw this today. Damn for a 1987 toy it's pretty cool. Nothing spectacular but still pretty cool. Makes me wonder what LEGO could pull off with today's vast selection of parts. Hasbro really should have let LEGO handle something like "Built To Rule." Oh well...Damn now I want one of these...

Good for you man. Thing is for me, if I want one then I'd probably have to pay $$$ for it. Old lego sets are not easy to come by. If you do happen to come by one then you still have to make sure that it has everything otherwise you're screwed. That's why I only buy MISB LEGO sets. Heck, even some sets that are just a year or 2 old skyrocket in price.

It took me 3 years to finally buy a LEGO Designer Titan-XP MISB at a reasonable price($26.00 with the shipping from eBay. It originally retailed for $50.00 in stores). I should have bought it when it was still in stores but I just didn't. I wanted to wait for a price drop(since that usually happens) but that never happened. Doesn't matter though, because now I own the set(it's great btw) and saved money on it too!(thanks eBay!). However, now I've learned to buy them while they're still in stores rather than wait and go through the hassle of trying to buy it later on at a cheaper price.

I have that one. You don't roll it to transform it. Rolling in either mode doesn't perform any other action than, well, rolling. There's this wheel on the back of the base which you need to turn to transform it.
A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?

I always wanted this and this and this and this, but my parents could never afford them for me. Too bad they are so pricey now or I'd buy them.
