Choices, choices

So in the interest of saving money (and stretching out Wave 1), I'm buying my Classics one at a time, once a week.

This is a deluxe week. So far, I've got Astrotrain and Hot Rod... should I go with Bumblebee or Starscream first?

I've also got Megatron, but I was sick and had to stay home from work one day last week, so my check was a little smaller than usual, hence... only a deluxe this week. I'll probably spring for Prime next week.

So advise me! I read both feedback threads, and it seems these two are generally regarded as the favorite deluxes of the line... I don't know which to pick!

Of course, if the store has one and not the other, that makes my decision for me, but on the chance the store has both...

I like Starscream better. It's just a fantastic mold. Bumblee's no slouch either, but Starscream just rocks.

This seems like a good idea on paper, but never worked out for me as they always ran out before I got all the ones I wanted. So I ended up becoming a rainy day collector. I buy the lot up front, and only open one or two at a time and keep the rest hiding around for when I'm feeling the need for a purchase. The purchase is already made, and I just have to go to the closet and grab it.

Except for classics. Those things got ripped open like a hurricane.

But, in response to your question, I'd pick up Starscream first not because he's necessarily the better figure, but because he has the most potential to disappear off the shelves. Bumblebee is awesome, Starscream is awesome, but Starscream has more fans, and he's a jet which kids always love.

Jet first, weird car later. Though I do so love both of them.

You've probably made the choice already. Here's what helps me: flip a coin. If it comes up with what you really want, you'll go with it. If it comes up against what you want, you'll say "screw you, coin" and go the other way.

I dont have either so I can't compare the 2 physically, but based on looks alone, I'd say screamer. He looks so damn good in robot mode.
