Cw has more a blander look and has a toy look. It also has individual robots that have like elbow issues and sideways elbow action on long haul, it has more issues, but unite warriors has the individual robots issues fixed, and is the exclusive sticker the comic con version, then that's all. If I were you, takara is going to make combiners mp styled, starting with bruticus, but I would settle with it for now.

Well, Unite Warriors is more expensive what with the import price and all, but for what you get, I’d say it’s definitely worth it!
Unite Warriors Devy is designed with cartoon accuracy in mind, right down to the last detail. More importantly, the UW version gives the individual Constructicons some much needed articulation (you might have noticed Hasbro Scrapper’s pitiful lack of elbows) and even goes as far as to give them new weapons, which again, the Combiner Wars version just didn’t have. When it comes down to it, Unite Warriors is the way to go!

Here are a couple of good reference videos:

    Happy collecting!

I have both and UW is by far the better choice if you don't have either yet. A quick list of major differences:

    -UW has improved paintjob
-UW has improved articulation in all of the Robot Modes, including giving elbows to Scrapper and improving the elbows on Long Haul, Mixmaster and Hook. Bonecrusher and Scavenger also have improved knees.
-UW Devastator himself features ratchet joints on his shoulders
-UW includes individuals G1-style guns for each Constructicon as well as Devastator's huge cannon
-UW features a new head for Devastator that is able to switch between visored and non-visored face

Are you more interested in the individual Constructions? Or are you more interested in Devastator? And do you have a budget cause that could factor in too.

UW is clearly meant to be displayed as the individual Constructicons, what with their added articulation and even their original guns. But if you want a Devastator standing tall, proud, and intimidated then CW is the guy to go. Not much articulation in the individual modes but if you went CW then you didn't come for them. You came for the big green himself and he looks superb on your shelf. (Plus honestly Devastator looks better with a visor)

I went Combiner Wars obviously, I mean I got him for Christmas! I couldn't afford this guy if I tried! Maybe one day when I have the money to splurge, I'll get UW Devastator too so I can display the Constructicons alongside Devastator.

UW is more cartoon accurate, has better joints, comes with more weapons, and has a visor gimmick.

This. It is nowhere near being even close.

    Definitely Unite Warriors.

I only have the CW version, because he was only ever going to be Devastator. The only real kicker for me is that long haul's stupid forearms are just sitting there, all bright green and super obvious. With the UW version, I believe his forearms can swivel backwards, so you don't see 'em.

All it would really take to cure the issue is a piece of square plastic with a 5mm port for his hands to hold. Then Devy wouldn't have hand ribs lol

I'm with pretty much everyone else here. If you're willing to pay the extra money, UW is the much better of the two. The only thing the hasbro version has over it is devy's face (I prefer the lighter shade of gray, the gunmetal face it too dark for my tastes).

Are you planning on getting any of the upgrade kits? If so, get the DNA one. It really improves the shoulders and gives you a great replacement head for devy (again, more of an issue for the UW one).

If it's gonna spend 99% of the time in combined mode (like mine) then CW is the way to go since there are only minor differences for that mode between the two. On the other hand, if you're more interested in the individual modes, go for the UW version.

If you're in it for the combined mode, I'd also recommend the X2 upgrade kit since it does so much to beef up Devy and make it better fit into a MP display.

I like CW over Takara, I prefer the G1 toy style Bonecrusher.

He said he WANTS to do bruticus. That is a big difference. It doesn't mean anything is happening.

I paid $90 for CW Devastator.
I think the cheapest I saw UW Devastator was $170, and that was because a bunch of people were group buying.

So it's entirely price. Are elbows and extra guns worth upwards of $100 in price difference?

I got mine second hand, if you are talking new then yeah the price difference is insane.
