I am thinking about selling my entire Transformers Armada collection due to space issues , but I'm not sure if it's a good idea . Have any of you sold your Armada collection and regretted it later ?

When it comes to selling anything from your collection, take your time. Look over each figure and make sure it's a figure you honestly don't want any more. If you do want it or even still have some interest in it, set it aside for later, maybe later on you'll decide you don't want it.

About 5 years ago I sold off over 400 figures and did so in waves. Each later wave consisted of figures that I previously thought I still wanted, but later didn't. To this day I haven't bought back any of the figures I've sold off.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will take my time with them for the reasons you stated. I actually had this moment with my Cybertron Leader Class Starscream. I was all ready to box him up and after handeling him for a little bit just made me not want to part with him.

I just sold my Misb Armada Super Optimus Prime on ebay last week. While money is good, it's a huge box that I didn't have room for, plus I don't really collect Armada, just had the misb big boy Prime and the smaller deluxe version for whatever reason. I figured at some point that they'd churn out an MP of it and the money I could get what be cut in half so I sold it. Don't regret it all all but like I said, I never collected the line.

As someone who is starting to gain an appreciation for Armada through Generations updates, I'd say be cautious in deciding what to get rid of. Megatron, for example, has been superseded by the Leader-class Megs redeco. Likewise for Starscream and (to a certain extent) Hot Shot. There's a heavy likelihood on Tidal Wave getting a Titans Return toy as well. And of course there's that bloody Unite Warriors Thrust which I WANT SO BAD AND CANNOT HAVE.

So yeah, if it were me, I'd be selling off those toys that had been superseded first, and holding back on the ones that are still unique.

Be cautious if you have them all complete - finding spare parts for them is a bitch. Take it from somebody who lost all the guns to his super pants Prime and got a secondhand Megatron missing every removable part (including Leader-1) except the battery cover.

I have just held onto the characters I like from that series, so all I have left are Sideways, Thrust and Starscream... And Cyclonus, but it's the arctic cameo deco from Energon. It's good to have them still now there's the Combiner Wars Leader Megs.

Motor Master gave good advice in the first response mine would be maybe watch a bit of the show again if that's your thing. If you have an affinity with any of the characters still you may miss them once you've sold them.

Still need any of those parts? A few years ago someone bought my Armada Megs at a Con, they forgot to take his bag with instructions and sticker, Leader-1 and one of his missiles. (Thought I had all three in the bag, but apparently not.)

To the OP. As someone who shares your problems I say this, if you have a lot of Armada figures it can be slow to sell, I've found buyers for these figures take time to find, however it is very cathartic to part with what you want to part with. And it does wonders to clear up a lot of space.

That being said make sure you really want to part with these guys, then systematically examine which figures you want to get rid of first and move on from there.

I've purged not only my Armada Collection, but have also cleared out Energon and Cybertron slowly but surely working my way through the figures. I don't really need the toys from every single series in the end run, and I decide to keep only what I really want, but even then I make exceptions. I never thought I'd ever sell my Energon Starscream, that mold was/is one of my all time favorites. But I decided to part with him and haven't regretted it yet. (It helps that I've still got Super Link Nightscream Reverse in the traditional G1 colours.)

I'm not done selling, but I'll keep a few I enjoy and some key characters and part with all the rest. Why? Because at the end of the day I've enjoyed them for as long as I have and it's now time to let someone else discover these great figures to enjoy. When your collection becomes so huge that you find yourself with space issues parting with some is inevitable. Make sure you keep your favorites if you must, but prioritize which ones you can never part with and which ones are just ho hum, then go on from there.

Out of curiosity, is there a spare Corona Sparkplug in the stuff you're thinking of selling? I'd definitely be interested in that.

I sold most of my armada and energon figures in the beginning of the year, just be prepared that even if you have every part, you may not get that much for them

Now that we are talking about selling and such, is there any market for G1 figures anymore? From what I have sold, those are very hard to get rid of.

I sold it, and I never regretted it. 800 unique minicons went a long way to improve the quality of my life. Now I would never consider offering 1K for an unreleased Adventure Team, life has much more to offer :)

I would definitely keep Nemesis Prime and Bendy Prime, though! those are still amazing!

For vintage G1 there is, but it seems that the encore/reissue ones can be harder to move.

again it depends on what you want to sell. My reissue Hot Rod (aka Rodimus Major) sold on ebay in about 10 minutes. The other reissues I sold eventually sold at a fair price. but back to armada, don't be surprised if you can only get 5-8 dollars per figure

5-8$??? I'm sorry, but I find that hard to believe, I've gotten at least up to 15$ for Deluxes and certain Voyagers have sold as high as 25$, of course I've been patient and sold them when a buyer came along for them at that price. Others have definitely been hard to sell off, but the only figures I've had to sell at 5$ were either Scout class figures or Mini-Con teams.

I mean the market might be smaller for Armada figures, but I don't think you'd have to take that much of a loss for them.

Just a heads up some Armada figures you may have trouble giving away let alone selling. Side swipe for example,
