Ok, so I know TF5 is nowhere near coming out yet and we've haven't even scene that many characters but I really wanna here you guys thoughts and wishlist for the TF5 toyline. We know it's gonna happen so yea, what do you want to come out from it. I'd really like to see the return of Human Alliance figures. Even better would be if they actually made very accurate and somewhat more complex versions of the characters and not cheap lazy knockoff transformations. Oh and another thing that'd be really awesome is if they'd stop shrinking down the figure too. Anyways what would you like to see outta toyline if and when it gets here?

Hmm, well first off I'm fine with featureless figures with decent weapon storage, so that aspect can translate over from AOE toys. Second of all, I'd like these toys to scale decently when placed alongside another. Human Alliance sadly sounds like a pipe dream at this rate, but I definitely wouldn't mind a few. I'd also like accurate figures that can be simplistic in design so long as they don't pack super kibble. And well, cause somebody had to do it:

Hound vs. Onslaught 2-pack w/exclusive deco or whatever
Bumblebee vs. Barricade 2-pack w/exclusive deco or whatever

Last of all, I want representations of every character that show up. Please, no more Wheeljack/Leadfoot/Dino or Mirage or whatever debacles. And that about sums it up. Paint apps can be okay, as I'm ready for Reprolabels to deliver.

    What i expect:
-The main crew, the cars being deluxes, the larger vehicles being voyager, maybe the return of the basic/scout class figures.

-Some "Kid-friendly" subline involving simple/automatic transformation that doesn't give figures proper articulation in the arms and/or legs.

-A lot of bumblebee figures and repaints.

-Maybe some combiner wars figures sneak in to have some movie-redeco glory.

    What i'd love to see:

-The return of Human Alliance. I think it's about time they dust out that.

    -Some crazy homage figures

    -And even crazier battle packs.

I really hope they release large Dinobot toys. Maybe invent a new gimmick line, with simple transformations, as long as both modes are at least semi accurate, and get at least the very basics of articulation.

I pray we can return to at least DOTM's number of collector-friendly toys and level of engineering, but with more paint apps in standard releases. I also want to see more Decepticons. Unfortunately, after RID15, which AOE paved the way for, I think we'll be lucky to get Deluxe, Voyagers, and Leaders at all.

That would be great. Especially if they have movie-esque details on the ports, they can still work like the standard CW ports. And with the movie line, they could work it in in plenty of ways.

I want Legion to return as a size to the TFCU, in that size I'd take - Squeeks, Bumblebee, Barricade, Drift, Hound, Onslaught, Optimus, Megatron, & the VW Bus Con.

Deluxe size wise - Bumblebee, Barricade, Drift, & Crosshairs. And for Primus sake bring back the non-movie characters, retool Barricade into Prowl. I want a TFCU Prowl!

Voyager size wise - I don't like how out of scale the new truck Optimus Prime from AOE was so I want a voyager version of that alt mode. Plus Megatron, since he's back and Prime needs his rival. Also I'd take Hound and Onslaught in that size too. And the VW Bus Con.

I hope they make a Bumblebee!

But, seriously... I hope that Onslaught is a teaser for a new movieverse combiner... one that can stand up straight this time... and ideally its toy won't just be a repainted CW Bruticus.

    No Combiners.

Seriously, I'd rather have a return to ROTF-DOTM period toy design where each figure was usually great as stand-alone toys, than to repeat CW's kibble-tastic design simplification where individual toy integrity being sacrificed only is worth it if you have the entire combiner team.

Also, more Decepticons period. Hell, reuse the drones from the first film to the point of a Hasbro-release of the Payload/Dispensor retool, just put bad guys with passable toys on the shelves instead of flooding them with nothing but good guys.

For this line, I am hopeful for the designers to have had a better grasp on the film designs and we can have better toys from it. If they tweaked the film designs themselves to have more kibble, that would probably help.

I'd like to see every weapon that is used in the film—and specific to a certain character—to be represented in toy form. As an example, the AOE line, Bumblebee didn't have his new claw weapon or a more traditional one for High Octane Bumblebee.

I'll echo a previous poster and say that I also want every character that shows up in the movie to have a toy representation.

As for the toys themselves, I want:

    Legion/Legends: Motorcycle Decepticon, Sqweeks.

Deluxe: Drift, Crosshairs, Barricade, Bumblebee, Hippy Van Guy, Prowl (Barricade remold or recolor), Slug and Strafe.

Voyager: Scorn, Grimlock, Onslaught, Hound, Optimus and Megatron

Leader: Optimus, Hound and Onslaught. If more than three Leaders are produced, add Megatron.

If put in charge of it:

Legion: Sqweeks, Wheelie, Brains, mini dinobots

Deluxe: Bee, Barricade, Drift, Crosshairs, Coptor Drift, Strafe

Voyager: Hound, Onslaught, trash truck, Scorn, Slug

Leader: Prime and Megatron as it should be! And Grimlock

I want to see scale appropriate versions of every Transforming Robot character that appears onscreen in the film.

also, on top of this, i want at least an extra dozen Decepticons to make up for the lack of Decepticon toys in AOE.

if the line must have a gimmick, please let it be a non-intrusive one, like ROTF's mech alive.

AOE was around just long enough in my opinion. 3 waves, then done.
so maybe TLK can have 4 waves? (to allow the extra dozen decepticons i requested earlier)

Decepticons. The last movie had so few Decepticon toys it was just plain silly.

I'd like to see repaints of moulds I missed out on during my time off, specifically deluxe jets. Can't have enough of those.

This! I have little to no interest in the movies themselves, but some of the designs that came out of the ROTF era were amazing, like leader Optimus, Sentinel, Starscream and Brawl and almost everything from HFTD/RTS. And ditto on the more Decepticons, I don't know where Hasbro got it in their heads that kids hate "villain" toys but the marketing department from your Star Wars division needs to have a word with them.

I'm not really sure what to expect. Hopefully Hasbro will realise that they over-saturated the shelves with too many different types of toy. I'm guessing they'll stick with the Generations leader, voyager and deluxe figures, and on the kiddified side, the 1-steps, legion and maybe 3-steps. But it does make me wonder what will happen to the 'warrior' figures that have seemed to replace the fast action battlers/power attacker and are essentially deluxe figures, just even less deluxe.

The transformations have been simplified (even on generations figures) and paint apps used sparingly to cut costs, there's no changing that, so perhaps what they should do is make the warrior figures the low cost versions that parents will see as relatively reasonably priced and kids will be able to afford themselves, but then simiultaneously release them under the generations banner with a premium deco at a premium price from the start, instead of releasing platinum edition box sets once the toyline has lost momentum, which still don't contain all the released characters with a screen accurate deco. I wouldn't even mind them all being deluxe class if it means getting more accurate detailing. At least now the black logo background on the generations packaging distinguishes it from the RID Transformers logo.

In reality of course we probably will get the under painted generations figures and then platinum sets!

I think there's a decent chance of having at least 4 or 5 Decepticons, as they seem to be prominent and are all individuals rather than the mass produced KSI robots.

As long as the transformations don't have a ROTF-level of complexity (in other words, not frustratingly complex) and we get regular figures of any potential one-steps, I will be happy.
