I've been doing a huge cleaning/organizing/restructuring of my TF room. I'm increasing the size of my Bumblebee section to be able to have a better display.

I have 2 directions I'm thinking about going...

    a) Have the collection organized by tv/movie, so all the ROTF toys together, AOE, Prime... ect..

b)Have them organized by type of toy... the younger kid figures together, the figurines together, one step like figures...

Any opinions or even other ideas of how to organize?

I tend to organize my figures by series (Classics/G1, 07 Movie, ROTF, etc). I feel it makes the collection look and feel a bit more organized. So I'd go with that as an idea on how to reorganize your Bumblebee collection. Put together all the Bees you have from the first movie on one shelf, then on the shelf below that all the Bees from ROTF, and so forth and so forth.

My Optimus Prime collection is organized as follows:

    - G1 or anything based off it
    - Movie
    - Unicron Trilogy

    90% in alt mode

but I would vote with option B for your collection.

I was wondering if you were ever going to rearrange your steps.

Personally, I'd go with organizing them by show/movie. That way, you have all of the similar looking alt. modes together.

Not a bad idea really. Gradient colours.

From yellow- to some hints of black to the most. Then yellow-black then some hints of red. Then yellow- red to some hints of blue. And so on and so forth.

From the least peg-warmed to the most peg-warmed. Lol

Seriously - I would go like some have said and organize them by series in G1, movie, Prime, etc...

Can you make the display look like tf prime era Walmart shelf?

    :D

I shouldn't talk, I just counted 25 BB in the room here with me.

    I like option B better.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, keep em' coming. I haven't decided if I want to spend my birthday reorganizing or just relax today.

    Currently the shelves are:
    G1
    Animated
    Goldbug
    Dark Bee (black repaints)
All the movie stuff are all mixed together.
    The buildable Bee (Kre-o, constructibots)

I also have a lot of the MISB stuff on shelves with a random BB here and there to break it up a bit.

I was going to put LOL, but it gave me such a laugh that it deserved to be full acknowledges. Thanks Peppers... is it okay I call you that. :)  Though with all the fancy names like Allspark BB, Patrol BB, Stealth BB, it could be done. :)

I really want to at least get pics of what that would look like. Also chronologically would be kind of fun.

That's how I have my music organized :)

I can make it look like the Walmart shelf threw up, while a Target and TRU shelf watched, but caused them to throw up and all the BB vomit got mixed together. Put a dash of time travelling 80's BB swimming in it. I think that kind of sums up the whole thing.

They way you had seen them stocked on the shelves and pegs at your local Toys"R"Us before buying them without the curiosity why they were still for sale and what the spiders that kept them company have been eating for all these years. :D

    Just kidding.

I would go with a more "Evolution of Bumblebee" approach, which has them displayed from his first toy appearance to his recent piece. This way you don't have to reshuffle them every time you get a new piece, and you can even write down facts/notes about each version.

Just so you have something to tell new fans when they want to find a version that best suits their fandom, etc. :)

I just like that you have them trained enough to the point where the Official Bumblebee Safety Gate® isn't an issue anymore.
