So at SDCC they stated an expected date of 8-1-16 which is next week! After seeing the many pictures of him from the show I have come to the conclusion that I want one. Do we know anything about the distribution of these? For example will they be in boxes of just them or mixed in with other TR deluxes? How hard do you think it will be to locate one of these guys?
I'm sure it will be a news item when 1 person finds one, which lead to tons of others to assume every Walgreens has them. They will scramble to get to the store. Later complaining of not finding it and calling Walgreens employees idiots. Then some will panic that they'll never find it offering up rewards for others to buy it for them. Fast forward a few weeks and he'll be easy to find.
True most of the time but not always lol. To this day I still haven't seen a single walking dead Rick that was a walgreens exclusive and he was released more than a year ago. Hoping the same isn't the case with Brainstorm if he in fact is an exclusive.
It was confirmed at SDCC. In addition, Walgreens toy buyer Steven Anne gave a different projected release date (November) on Twitter, but it appears his account got deleted?!? Voyager Brainstorm was released two years ago under the Thrilling 30 sub-line and is incompatible with the Titans Return gimmick. You might be confusing him with the (p)redeco of the Titans Return Deluxe that was just released as part of the SDCC/Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive "Titan Force" three-pack.
No. The voyager was a regular generations release that came out a while ago and the gimmick isn't compatible with TR.
He was a voyager in the Thrilling 30 line. Actually, he was an end of line toy that saw almost no release until he showed up in the Ross/TJMaxx/Marshalls stores, quite a few months after showing up (sparingly) in the bigger stores. Very similar to Sky Lynx. However unlike Sky Lynx, HTS had him on there site for quite a long time.
I'm sure I've seen him, but I never pay attention to Walking Dead figures. As for Hasbro made Marvel Legends, I've seen them all at multiple Walgreens. Only ones I've heard were ever an issue was the Star Wars white Boba Fett or whatever that was, which is more of an issue of some Star Wars fans not even scalping but literally buying the whole case just to keep in box.
It sucks he is a Walgreens exclusive, only cause I have to drive an hour away to find a Walgreens and even then who knows if they even would have it stocked. Oh well at least I don't have to worry about the SDCC set.
ARP is 16.99. It may or may not be sold online on Walgreen's website, though. Of the four Hasbro action figure exclusives, the Marvel figures are and the Star Wars figures are not.
Can someone make a Hunt for TR Brainstorm spoof poster with Brainstorm's head in place of Sean Connery's?
