Headmasters were the most fun G1 toys I ever played with. So I was thrilled to see them return in the Titans Return line. Lots of fun.

Do you want to see Titan Masters show up on the live-action movie/tv series toylines?

I do. Canon? As of yet no, but who cares! The more headmasters the better! Now we can have Shia Lebeouf be the head of Bumblebee or Josh Duhamel as Scorponok.

Or some generic human headmaster as a Decepticon. Whatever, I like the gimmick!

    Thoughts?

I don't like headmaster gimmick for the toys.

    Here's why.
9/10 times it hinders head articulation, makes me scared to pull them out/makes head look bad.
Don't get me wrong I've yet to see a figure that suffers all 3 of these things or even just 2 but I don't like it. BUT it would be cool to see better then RID. So I vote yes!

Would be pretty funny to see movie Prime going for a Decepticon and it's head transforms and attacks Prime. So could be a fun feature in a movie line.

I want humans to have less air time.

Unless they're running in panic, to show scale of the robot, small quick 1-2 sec cameos maybe, boob/ass time etc.

Do they have to be humans?

I would like the Headmaster Transformer characters to appear in the movies.
So Hardhead, Sureshot, Weirdwolf, Mindwipe... yes.
Fracas, Peacemaker, Vorath, Arcana... If its done well and if they replace screentime now held by humans not Transformers.

    I like Headmasters/Titanmasters.

I'd like them in a TF tv show (cell animated or CG ) - but I don't think it would work quite well in a live action TF movie.

No! No! No! no! No! No! No! No! no! No! No! No! No! No! No! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Headmaster are a fucking terrible concept. It restricts play, and makes little to no sense in fiction, depending on what explanation is used. Because it's a part of TF history, I'm willing to wait through Generations use of it, as that's a nostalgia based line, but if it moved beyond just Generations, it would kill what little interest I still have in Transformers.

I don't want to see any more movie toylines period, until the movies start representing TransFormers and not whatever these have devolved into. It is very likely that if we saw the term "Headmasters" or "Titanmasters" enter the movie realm it would be just the term and any application wouldn't resemble anything recognizable, because basically nothing does. Nothing matters to the people making the movies, they take a loose inspriation and it stops there. They just make what they want, put the TF name on it, and Hasbro approves without issue.

Unless Megan or Rosie are the 'headmasters', no.

Overall, Headmasters as a movie/series isn't something I'd want to see. I'd prefer a Macross or Mech Warrior series first, which would pretty much be the same thing.

This new line is really fun but I in NO way want them in the fiction as the idea is really dumb IMHO.

Given that humans are going to take up a certain amount of screen time anyway, they might as well be piloting giant robots (I'm imagining something like re-animating spark-less robots with humans running them completely). You can give them the Iron Man treatment - some screen time on just their face w/some flashing lights around them - have some drama happening w/o too much CGI. You can even have some spy drama when one of the pilots is a plant . . .

The gimmick makes sense in japan with their being cybertronians that were smaller and moved away from cybertron cause of the war and cause of the harsh conditions they built the transtectors to help them survive

Indeed. Don't let Bay touch Headmasters. At all. He'll take the weird Arcee/Daniel joke and run with it to Cybertron and back, bringing and entourage of dick jokes along the way.

Now, a new AMERICAN TF cartoon series that reboots Rebirth and goes on from there? Hell to the yes. Headmasters is great and all...but I'd like to see how we could align Titan Masters with G1 as it is.

I agree I don't want to see them but if they start having fun and quite clever transformations as well do figures that can be great figures for CHUG displays like bludgeon and TF2 lockdown

Remember what they did with pretenders for the live action movies. Yeah I'm going to say a big fat hell no to that.

I am however very much down for their inclusion in a tv series though.
