May sound like an odd question, but I'm curious about which transformable figures of the above three characters have the most mass. Any version of the characters is acceptable. I know weight doesn't necessarily translate to durability, but I'd like to think there's some correlation there.

Also, I want to be able to call something "Doorstoptimus Prime".

    Mp 01 for Optimus
    G2 for megatron
    G1 for Galvatron

Only one I'm not sure about is megatron.

Not counting trailers, MP1 Convoy is blatantly the heaviest transformable OP ever. You could kill someone with it!

I've never tried murder-by-Prime myself, but when I dropped one, it made a crater twelve feet deep, so it's an easy guess to make.

This seems about right...although the Unicron trilogy Megatrons can pretty dense, actually, so one of those MIGHT trump G2.

And considering AEC, Energon Galvatron may actually be the heaviest. Certainly if you weigh without the batteries in the G1 toy.

Keep in mind, heaviest most certainly doesn't mean most durable. The die-cast actually makes the figure more fragile, as it's easier for the paint to chip, stresses the plastic pieces, etc.

I hate MP-01 for that reason.

That's not necessarily true. Metal, when engineered properly, can enhance the figure. Generally, the biggest mistake made by designers is adding too much metal to the torso and not enough to the legs, making a figure top-heavy. While MP-01 has metal in the legs, it's not enough to offset the amount in the chest, making him wobbly.

Bandai seems to do diecast metal best. Most Soul of Chogkin and Super Robot Chogokin figures feature their metal well.
