With the Transformers 5 on the way I'm hoping they come out with a decent legends/cyberverse line. The AOE toys were crap and whatever legends toys they had were cheap repaints. I'm really hoping if it is Barricade then they make a new legends for him. The 2007 one isn't bad but it was a little"disproportionate." Not to mention standing him was a little awkward.

Cyberverse/Legends is the only line that would make me buy more movie toys after the disappointment that was AoE.
Sure, there were a few good figures, but overall the bad outweighed them by a huge margin.

We'll know eventually when more news come out. Also I still think the AOe toyline gets way more flak then I think really warranted because it could have gone into far worse directions like for example making them just upscaled legion toys like with the oversized BH legion toys.

You mean like all FOUR that were made, for a limited market?
The one-steps and 'titan' figures AoE pumped out were a MUCH worse option. Add the lack of real Decepticons, the midget Lockdown and the fact the best versions of pretty much all the characters were exclusive repaints, and yeah, the line was poorly executed.

The titan and one steps were just toys for the younger fans which is why I'm not that uptight about it. Aside from how Lockdown turned out along with at least the lack of Stinger most of the AOE generation toys did turn out pretty well in the end like the Dinobots. Besides from the looks of it The Last Knight does seem to be fixing the lack of Decepticon thing too so there's that.

From AOE the only figures I got were the Dinobots,I seen others like Voyager Evasion Prime and Lockdowns, but alas I got the Dinobots simply because I am a major fan of all things Dinobot.

If what was stated the other day is true about the Dinobots being in TLK then chances are they are instantly bought. Also if the black Mustang is indeed Barricade I hope Hasbro will finally do him and Bumblebee in voyager scale (since they haven't done them in that size yet, except in Human Alliance),also have Hound and Optimus Prime as Leaders.

I just hope Hasbro has learned their lesson and will do away with the crappy OneSteps and ThreeStep figure, along with those Titan Statues that double as paper weights, but then again if they do happen to release those I hope they cut them back drastically by 90 to 95%,just do a few,not in the hundreds the way the did for AOE.Later guys.

Cyberverse is generally the only kind of Transformer toy I really ever get anymore, so I was pretty miffed when AoE dropped them completely. 'Course, I also generally only get Decepticons, and the way things went we'd have only gotten Lockdown (would've immediately gotten lost next to Soundwave and Sideways) and Galvatron. Hopefully TLK improves on both ends.

Sorry to deviate, I'm tired, but weren't there six?

Edit: No, there were four, I was thinking of Predaking and Prime too. Move along!

That's all I get as well for the most part. What I really hate is when I up AOE cyberverse toys, those 1 steppers would pop up in search results! Hasbro apparently got really cheap with AOE.

At least 30, probably 50 of my 159 Transformers are Cyberverse. Mostly movie Cyberverse, too. I would like to know if we will see the return of movie Cyberverse myself. I wouldn't mind if the modern, more articulated Legends got implemented into the movie line.

I would like to see an improved main line (Deluxe, Voyager, Leader) too. I wish Hasbro would reveal toys already or there would be leaks, just so I know what to expect. (It's probably too early for toys anyway.)

I believe the main reason AoE was so disappointing (and TLK is worrying) is that we were spoiled by what came earlier. RotF and in some ways DotM were exceptional lines. Even the first movie line was lots of fun. Then along came AoE and it all went to hell.
Like I said, there were a few good ones to be had (Evasion Prime, Hound and Scorn were awesome), but for the most part, none of the line even came close to the previous movies' offerings.

The TF2007 and ROTF lines definitely spoiled us. Those were perhaps some of the best toylines this franchise has ever seen. It's pretty difficult to beat those. I'm not too optimistic about TLK figures

I agree. The DOTM commander toys were a very nice addition as well bringing some of the bigger bots closer to scale. They just got really lazy with AOE. I bought that crappy little Grimlock repaint, still trying to figure out why. They could've made so much $ with a legends AOE line. Wish I knew whose stupid decision it was not to.

Never been a fan of cybdrverse, except for characters who are supposed to be that tiny, but that maybe because everyone I get excited for gets canceled like the sideways vs Arcee pack ir the megatron resurrection thing. But back to topic so long as they give each prominent character a mainline release that's roughly in scale and not region exclusive I'll be content.

Well, evasion prime was the last "mainline" toy I purchased, so while I'm not a fan of the movieverse, I suppose they might tempt me again.

Could someone refresh my memory? I know TF1 had Automorph, TF2's feature was Mech Alive, TF3 was MechTech weapons, did TF4 have any special feature going for it?

Their gimmick was a line-wide inconsistency in "quality".

I kid - there was no special gimmick. There was, however, a focus on how many steps the figures took to transform, as each package listed the number of steps.

The only new AOE mold I even cared about was the Crosshairs / Hotshot Deluxe mold.

You can get a makeshift Flying car mode out of the mold that looks much better than he RTS Tracks mold, at least to me. Plus the RTS mold missiles can be made to work with no mods.

I only bought the deluxe Thundercracker and Ratchet from the DOTM line.

I haven't truly cared about a movie toyline since ROTF. I'd rather buy Rescue Bots.

I don't mind if they bring back cyberverse/legends, but I want them to improve the mainline figures (deluxe, voyager, leader). Those are the figures that suffered the most in AOE and partially in DOTM
