You put yourself out there. He responded. He's right, you're wrong and there's no point in bitching about a Hasbro release and comparing it to 3rd party in a Hasbro themed thread.

Your issues are your's alone, don't take them out on others and crap all over what they enjoy because you have to vent over being unhappy with yourself.

I have OCD to some degree (I really do) and I understand your plight, but I can't condone posts like that.

I feel like that's every Botcon/Club/SDCC/New Toy Release thread ever.

The understanding should be simple. If you post trashing someone or something, expect a response. It's like the threads showing new releases, where someone posts "Man, I can't wait to get this great new figure" and the response is "No, this figure sucks, why would anyone buy it?"

The latter responder should take the ol' cliche of "if you don't have anything nice to say, then shut the hell up."

Because negative and targeted posts towards other NEVER resolves anything and only increases tension, derailing topics of conversation.

If you don't like a figure, fine. But attacking someone who does? Find something else to do.

Transformers Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Groove in Stock | eBay

Just got mine in from the above eBay seller. Not too terrible a markup for those, like me, who are just a little impatient or concerned about availability or not sure if they will be online on the street date. Amazes me how many of these he has sold and still has more to sell.

Not just this seller, but there are three or four who seem to have endless stock. Starting to think either Hasbro shipped all their stock to these online retailers or perhaps there will be a ton of Groove to go around and the paranoia is for nothing...

yea it seems odd they have so much stock... a standard deluxe case has 8 figures in it, so how'd they get a hold of so many cases to be selling dozens of Grooves???

$35 is way too much of a mark up for me.

Same. It's almost double of what most deluxes are. Unless I have no other options by the time Groove hits retail, I am not going to pay over $25.

    Ebay:
It could very well be someone who owns an online store and can't sell them in his store due to the street date, so they're selling them at a premium on eBay.

Hasbro could've made alot of them in anticipation of a widespread Asian release. If none of the retailers ordered any, maybe they decided to make it an exclusive in the Asian market and then had a ton of leftover stock.

    Ebay:
Who did I attack? If you actually read what I wrote, I didn't attack anyone, nor, for that matter did I even attack the figure. All I did was explain why I'm planning on waiting for a more general release with a non-inflated price.

If you or anyone else feels like they were personally attacked by my decision to wait and not pay $35 for an $18 toy, maybe I'm not the one who's unhappy with himself or has too much disposable income, eh?

Thanks, OCProwl, I'm bookmarking this link. It might be just third-party sellers and super inflated prices now, but it's likely that if/when Amazon has some to sell themselves it'll be at the same link.

When I get deluxe Groove, the legends class Groove will be renamed Crease.

IMO the 3P Combiners are a bunch of overpriced inaccurate nonsense. You can get Motormaster in a configuration aided by a custom built add on, or a number of 3P add ons and even after that...Menasor is still far cheaper and better looking.

Uranos is the worst offender for innacuracy. And I have yet to see a Menasor besides CW that actually uses the cars as legs instead of being stuck to stilts made from Motormaster parts.

That said...I have UW Defensor, so, I don't need Groove, but, I want one for my son's Hasbrofensor, then all he needs is Streetwise...he wanted he Legends and i told him to relax and wait, and neither of us have any interest in Rook, so, this will be a big addition to his small collection. He loves my Groove, but there's no way I could buy him $165 set especially when he already had 3 of the 5 Protectabots.

Now, not sure to wait for the 24th and take a chance or buy now. Thinking about it import Deluxes are around the $35 mark. I'll decide...I just have to have my UW Defensor, MP Ratchet and UW Computron...plus, I just finally found a Sky Lynx under $26 and had to pop on that. He'll never be a torso, but it's awesome he can be a damn nice looking one.

Anyone know when the main release is coming? I've heard the 15th or 24th. If this had been answered and I missed it I apologize!

    but you said this....
that can be taken as an insult to people who love those figures, such as myself, because "hall of shame" isn't a good thing at all....

and on the disposable income thing.....if someone misses the initial timeframe by thirty minutes, they'll have to pay that price anyway. bbts raised the price after the first orders were filled to a price close to it, and between "waiting in silence for weeks, possibly loosing sleep on rumor days" vs. "insuring you have it", the choice is obvious........

    now thats out

Ummm....that isn't insulting people. People are allowed to not like things. For example. "The color green looks like puke to me." Did i just insult everyone who likes the color green? Did I personally attack anyone? I don't know, I am not a doctor.

I am not going to pay more that $20 for groove. There are always those first ones that people pay too much for, and then later there will be a bunch available via regular retail. I can live without it if I can't find one and will just sell the rest of defensor if I can't find one. The prices on Hasbro deluxes are getting ridiculous.
