Who fears being an adult buying these?

 

Walk right up to the cashier, hand them my TF(s), pay; no regrets. I am usually alone when buying in stores.

I think it's worse buying on-line: package usually shows up when I'm not home; kids, parents, or ex-wife bring into house and I get questioned.

 

Not me, heck I've taken pictures of them on beaches.

Why can I vote for only one?

I purchase online, Amazon, at ToysRUs, Walmart, Target, conventions or whatever.

While grocery shopping. Pass by the nearest TRU and other stores while I'm at it. Just doing my rounds is what I call it.

Once the girl saw me so often she started flirting. I had to tell her that my wife and kids were at the other aisle. I didn't complain to management but never saw her at there again. The camera probably caught her grabbing my arm.

 

So how would you react if the public saw you buying toys and the whole store was laughing at you?

Sounds to me a lot of you aren't scared like Silverbolt was at flying high.

I'd give them a "salute" as I go on my way with a figure. At the end, they don't run my life.

 

No one really bothered to make fun of me either.

Maybe I'll try to look like more like a geek.

Only once though I had the wrong hairstyle and I didn't get a price match. I blame the hairstyle since I ALWAYS get my price match no matter what's written on the damn flyer.

 

I think you overestimate how much people care.
Really, nerdiness is such a commonplace thing nowadays that nobody could care less.

 

I buy them in stores and online and when McD's has some I'm interested in, I ask which ones they have.

 

I check regularily the toy section and buy everything online because stores suck and have nothing I want.

 

Step 1 - Buy feminine products for your wife.

Step 2 - Buying everything else is a piece of cake.

 

I voted Hasbro, but I will buy them from The Chosen Prime online to make sure that I get what I want, or any brick-and-mortar store that I happen to come across something that I like.

I don't care what other people at the store or the cashier ringing me up think about what I'm buying. If I have the money, I buy what I want, when I want. I suppose that I'm a bit spoiled that way.  



For example, I got my entire first Bruticus entirely from The Chosen Prime. I also got my second set of deluxe Combaticon limbs and Perfect Effect PC-09 from The Chosen Prime, but my second Onslaught came from Target and my second Shockwave from Walmart, since Chosen Prime was out of those last two. It works out pretty well.

 

What a strange thing to say... I no longer care what other people think if I buy a transformer in a store. If someone wants to laugh at me cause I have a hobby and disposable income to fund it, why should it effect me in any way?
The way I see it, you're doing something that hurts no one and if some stuck up bitch is going to give you grief over it, just tell her to take the stick out of her ass and blow.
I've been buying more online just because my local stores have crap for inventory but I always check what's in stock when I get the chance.

 

I'd buy stuff at brick and mortar if they had anything I want.
I buy mostly from Japanese online stores because that's how to get the things.

 

Dude, toy collecting is pretty common now. Most folks will barely give you a second glance. And as you get older, they just assume it's for your kids.

 

I will mostly try and get the figure at stores, which means I have to go to the only store that carries Transformers in my area which is Walmart. Since they usually suck and under stock Transformers since November I will order my figures online but only at Amazon(because Prime) or Hasbrotoyshop(sometimes they have a code). Of course if I'm out of town then I'll check whatever store the area I'm in has.

I am though sometimes very self conscious but I pay no attention if anyone is giving me a funny look and I can't hear anyone because I'll have headphones in.
