Does g1 takara tomy devastator contain lead, lead, paint or dangerous chemicals? I heard the mexican knockoff does. the reason i care about lead is that I share my toys with my younger sister. Lead poisoning can lower iq in small children.just concerned.

    -Thanks

Are you referring to a vintage toy, or one of the newer reissues?

It shouldn't. The only original G1 figures that contained lead were in Mexico or ones shipped to to Europe from Mexico I believe. Takara's were made elsewhere and are a-okay. If it's a reissue then there is absolutely no concern.

    Oh please, not again.

You already started a thread on the same topic a few weeks ago.

Seriously, if you're that paranoid about Transformers toys that you need multiple verification from people about every little step you take, you should consider a different hobby.

Hey, did you know that the computer you are using right now is sending out radiation?

No. As others have said, only the toys produced in Mexico possibly have lead.

you also might want to look into lead poisoning. Even licking one toy a few times won't mess you up too bad. You'd have to drink from lead cups/pipes or use the toy as a pacifier to really cause damage.

I like G1 Constructicons as much as the next guy, but I avoid problems like these by not freakin' licking them.

And if any original G1 toys with diecast had lead, you'd know by now---lead can "poison" zinc just like it does to people---it crumbles apart. "Zinc rot/zinc pest" is very often caused by lead contaminating the zinc alloy. And it makes it crack/turn to dust in just a few years. It's like GPS, but with diecast.

Jesus Christ, for years I've had to supplement my diet with old Mexican Transformers, they've always been so cheap so it made more sense to eat them rather then UK toys which have always cost more. I can't believe it, is this why Mexican TF's are so cheap?

Well, I kept all my Thomas trains when I was little even though they had lead paint. I was like 4 or 5. I'm 17 now and I'm completely fine...cause I didn't lick or eat my Thomas trains. Even the pretty purple one, oh how delicious it looked. I bet it was grape flavor. Mmmmmm

    Oh jeez. This. So this.

Even If she put them in her mouth, she would have to gnaw off bits to get any lead.
