G2 Superion kicked off "phase 2" of Combiner Wars, relegating the molds to boxsets where fans can get an entire combiner in one go, while Titans Return takes over the reigns of mainline Generations stuff.

Officially announced sets include-

There is also leaked artwork that we'll probably learn more about at Toy Fair next week regarding two more sets-

• Liokaiser

If these perform well for Hasbro and retailers I can see these releases continuing at least into 2017. There's already a nice batch of pre-existing combiner teams that utilize G1 combiner molds that could get nice updates out of the Combiner Wars molds. Who from these choices would you like to see next?

RID Ruination simply for the fact that we need more non-G1 stuff. RID fans deserve their one non-Scourge/Skybyte chance at some love!

I could see Ruination being the most popular choice here easily. while I wouldn't buy it? I voted for it for RID representation.

 

Me personally, I would rather get Shattered Glass version boxsets of the existing CW combiners.

 

I could only see G2 Defensor happening this year. Combiner Wars is on its way out. We may see the odd box in the future but nothing part of the campaign.

We lost our G2 Devastator chance after Botcon I think.

Every combiner in arctic camo. Ruination, certainly, but I could really dig arctic Aerialbots, Stunticons, etc. Plus, when/if Hasbro gets around to beast combiners, arctic camo (Ice Age) Predaking would be fucking amazing

ROTF movie colors Devestator. I love that color scheme on him and it would be awesome seeing that on the CW Titan mold.

RID Runiation. For reasons people here already said.

Diaclone inspired set. Think of it like a homage to Diaclone like have Otpimus be in the Powered Convoy blue cab with the torso mode being Powered Convoy along with the limbs be the Diaclone colors.

 

Or Road Caesar with Galaxy shuttle from UW Blast Off and Victory Leo from Sky Lynx  

 

Ruination, awaken! Oh, and he better have show-accurate colors.

 

I would say its not worth doing Guard City since the color scheme is barely different to the usual Protectobots. However, a box-set with a recolored Hot Spot, recolored Blades and the Groove mold may be enough to entice some people, especially if its the only way to buy Deluxe Groove in the U.S. I think if Hasbro were to do Guard City, its best to call them by their original Protectobot names with the Guard City name in front as a prefix.

Yes, I know some of the prefixes sound cumbersome. Especially Fly-Up Blades. But the names are what they are.

 

I like that idea. The names sound stylish too.

 

I voted G2 Defensor as next (though I would buy all of the options listed) just so we would have a chance to complete the "set" of G2 Scramble City combiners. We're already 3/4 done.

 

I'd love Ruination eventually, but I voted for G2 Defensor. I really want them to round out the quartet of G2 combiners. That, plus the mystique of a rare, cancelled color scheme and the fact that Defensor is my favorite combiner, make me want a G2 Defensor more than the other choices.

But Ruination would be a reasonably close second... honestly either the screen or toy version, I like both.
